I remembered it was a rainy day and I was craving for something hot and soupy.Ordered myself a bowl of white fish slice mee sua. The soup was nicely flavored and pretty tasty. The white sliced fish was plenty, soft nice and fresh. The mee sua, needless to say is a naturally very yummy form of noodle. A little salty but always soft and assuring. There were also some vegetables and tomatoes thrown in making it a complete well balanced meal.Thumbs up! continue reading

This stall sells satay and oyster omelette and it is located at the end and in front of the BBQ chicken wings stall. The best of this oyster omelette($4) is the amount of oysters given. Every mouthful of the omelette you will get a oyster. Besides that, they cooked the oyster just nice as it is juicy and not raw taste at all. The starchy egg omelette is more to soft and fluffy rather than the crispy type. Their chilli is sweet and tangy that will eliminate the oiliness of the oyster omelette. continue reading

We were in Bukit Timah to shop for some kitchenware. We were famished from all the shopping. I had decided to go for fish soup as I wanted something light for the day. Went through the OpenRice iPhone apps and found this. When ordering we can have a choice of red grouper or batang aka mackeral. I decided to choose the later. The soup taste sweet as it was cooked with the fresh mackeral according to the owner. The owner seems to be very gernerous with the fish meat. it's a must try you you are there. continue reading

Order the slice fish soup at Leng Kee from Bukit Timah Market. I specially chose it without adding milk to the soup as that is when you can really taste the real sweetness of the soup. normally, sellers will add milk to the soup to enhanced the taste. For Leng Kee, the soup is sweet on its own and there is no fishy taste at all. This shows the skill of the cook. For $4 a bowl, it is really worth it and the serving of the fish is also good. very good meal continue reading

Had very delicious fish soup at Leng Kee! Their fried fish soup is tasty and very flavourful. The fish is very well marinated to eliminated any fishy smell, and has a light peppery taste to it. it is also not soggy even though it is soaked in the soup. The soup is super good too! You can taste its slight ginger taste, which really helped to enhance the overall taste of the fish soup noodles. continue reading
