FoodPenang Char Kway Teow, S$3.00 was rather spicy. Comes with a few pieces of prawns fried together with thinner version of kway tiao. Filled with eggs goodness in very mouthful. Although the portion was not big, it become very "jelat" after time. Pork lard was used and this plate of penang delight is one of its kind different from the usual Singapore's black sauce char kway teow.ServiceThe uncle face was quite stern and looked horrible with his "killer" expressions as he served the food to my table. Although it was indicated "self-service" - it was not prominent and I only notice it after sometime, he still served the plate to my table.AmbianceWas rather quiet for the stretch of stalls located in the food centre. However the surroundings are rather interesting with different kinds of shops around. It's an old estate and I can see elderies gathered in groups and chit chat.PriceS$3.00 for this portion is small however taking consideration of the prawns they used maybe that's the reason. continue reading
