A random meet up gathering with a group of friends, we were in the mood to have some Korean chow-down. Menu was placing outside the restaurant, Manna Story always let customers to check it out before entering. Featuring picture was cutie simple with some drawings, food looked attractive. Ambience was comfy bright and almost full house, luckily the waiting time still acceptable.Ordered their sizzling stone rice with Pork, chilli sauce was provided as much as you can squeeze. Side dishes were generously served, I like Crunchy Sweet Anchovies very much. I stirred it up together, what a healthy flavourful mix. Pork remained tender while rice was fluffy fragrant. $13.90, I would say it was pretty affordable. continue reading

Spent a total of almost $30 just for 2 people. Ordered BBQ Beef and Bulgogi. BBQ Beef - $13.80The beef was fresh and tender, and drenched thoroughly in gravy. It was well-marinated and delicious, though the portion was a little too many for a person. it was a restaurant with many frills, perhaps that's why the slightly more expensive value. this also includes a portion of rice that was quite sticky instead of fluffy.Bulgogi - $15.80the bulgogi was a little fattening and oily, and there were too little chopped green onions to go along with it.Side dishes (given for free)the waitress didn't explain the 12 side dishes, which actually tasted ok. some was good, like the kimchi preserved vegetables.. Ice Lemon Tea - $2.00Pear Juice - $2.50i would recommend drinking the pear juice because it tasted quite fragrant and fresh, whereas the ice lemon tea is of little additional value (in terms of satisfaction). perhaps i wouldn't come back to the restaurant again because it was food that i could get in a food court price. continue reading

I was given a $10 voucher for Manna story so decided to have a meal there. I was so hungry that i didn't get a chance to take my main dish which is a set meal with stir- fry chicken which i forget the dish meal. There is also a station that allow you to side dish unlimited amount of time while waiting for your food to be served. On the pictures, is the dish i ordered, peach and rice juice which taste so nice. The peach one was sweet and the rice juice taste a little like barley to me. Then come the extra pumpkin soup i ordered. I like the texture. It was texture and with a very strong pumpkin taste. It is advised to share with the group if you can not a pumpkin lover. continue reading

My love for Korean Cuisine brought me back to Manna Story to satisfy my Korean food cravings. I came with a friend as part of a birthday dinner. Anyway I ordered the Jajangmyun (again) and also Kimchi Pancake. My friend ordered the Spicy Beef Soup which came with rice (not pictured). The one thing i really really like is the free flow side dishes. They are not the main stars of the shows but they are quite nice! A good way to fill your stomach while waiting for the food.I have never tried the Jajangmyun at any other restaurants or food court before. The sauce is really nice and cannot be compared to the kind which you get in instant noodles (quite a moot point). The Kimchi Pancake is really nice, the thickness is just right. However it's not very spicy, even after dipping it in the given sauce. I will definitely want to return to try their spring onion pancake! continue reading

I really enjoyed my lunch there as the korean "ahjumma" female boss served us personally and was very humble and attentive. The ala-carte as well as set lunch dishes were very affordable especially since there is a 30% discount ongoing for citibank card members. What I love most about their menu is that every main you order comes with 12 FREE FLOW side dishes (known as banchan in korean). I love how you can go to the counter for refills as and when you like. Love the fishcake, kimchi, toufu sidedishes the most!!!Place was not crowded on a weekday afternoon at all. continue reading
