Pass by this Dim Sum Shop and had settled down for a few dim sums for my snack time. Environment was abit too squeezy and service was so so as well. Bought the vegetable dumplings, which surprisingly quite delicious and flavourful. Lots of fresh crunchy vegetables inside the dumplings and the dumplings' skins are very thin and soft. Fried spring rolls are very crispy but abit too oily. The crunchy white carrot inside really taste good and appetizing. For less than $20, is worth the price.

Had my lunch in this dim sum place today and was really pleased with the food and services here. Food served to me in less than ten minutes, which was really fast. Service was quite good and friendly too. The century egg porridge portion was generous and the diced century eggs were fresh and fragrant. The topped spring onion also added that extra fragrant to this dish. Thumbs up! Xiao long bao skin was also smooth and thin, with juicy fresh pork meat inside. The meat gravy inside is also de

It's my first visit here at this dim sum joint along lorong 8. Coffeeshop style is the setup here, with the entire place managed by the dim sum merchant, with mainly prc servers. Now the food. Pan fried carrot cake at $3.50 is highly recommended. Fried on the spot so its hot. The glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leave is also good $3.50, with the rice not overly sticky or clumpy. I also like the yam pastry with its nice and hot meat pastry within it. The above items all comes in 3s per serving. T

Fried on the spot so its hot. The glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leave is also good $3.50, with the rice not overly sticky or clumpy. I also like the yam pastry with its nice and hot meat pastry within it. The above items all comes in 3s per serving. The chee cheong fun with BBQ pork $3.50 was a let down though with the skin not thin and smooth enough. The sauce also lacked flavour. The siew mai came in 4s though $3.50 was pretty average but at least it's handmade type. No gst is charged here but wet tissue is charged at 60cents each. Driving wise best to come in via the back road via Mountbatten coz u can't turn in lor 8 via geylang road. The price is a little expensive for a non-conditioned place.

Ran an errand with my friend around the vicinity and spotted this dim sum place. It was around 10plus in the morning when we went. There weren't alot of people, I supposed the crowd probably came much earlier. The crispy tofu ($3.20) was not too bad, there’s prawn fillings inside the tofu which makes it expensive but at the same time yet nice and filling. The Har gao ($3.20 prawn dumplings) has nothing to rave about, it’s just normal like any other har gao you eat outside. The porridge was quite expensive at $5. Plus there wasn’t much meat in it too and it tasted very normal. As for the chee cheong fun, we choose the char siew ($3.20) one because we didn’t want to have too many prawn dishes. We wanted egg tarts but it was sold out.

Overall, only the crispy tofu was worth it. The rest of the dishes were pretty normal and expensive for a non air-conditioned place.

Unlike swee choon, yum cha, etc. This place is like not air-conditioned.. but service and attitude of the staffs are good, and the dim sums are nice! price wise are average around #3.20 per basket, which i think is cheap and reasonable. I will definitely visit there again! Please visit www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2012/12/mongkok-dim-sum.html for more info.

I found myself at this stall after walking around trying to find wan dou sek. As me and my friend are already too tired to walk any futher, we decide to settle for this. We ordered most of the usual dim sum dishes and I must say most of them are average or better than average. There is really nothing that they do not do so well. In particular, we especially loved their char siew pau. I felt that the char siew inside is very tasty and juicy and not too fatty also. The pau skin although is quite a

The pau skin although is quite a lot (since it fluffs up) but luckily, since it is fluffy, it isn't too heavy and the portion of char siew to pau skin it just right. This is my favourite dish of all the ones that we ordered!

service was quick and dimsum mostly came in portions of four. the price was also cheap at about $4 for each place. there is also a wide variety of dimsum to choose from including frog-leg porridge and claypot rice. I had the usual siewmai, hargau, chee chong fun and also the yam ball, mango fritter and some others. my impression was that the serving is very reasonable and taste is good too. The chee chong fun is a tad oily and the skin a tad thick for my liking. the best dish we had was probably the yam ball, which had diced chicken inside. the yam was smooth and silky and the ingredient inside blends well with the texture of the yam. their fried stuff is rather oily but not unacceptable. in total we spent about $13 a person but left with a bulging belly. Best to come in a group so you can sample more food. I would definitely come back again because it is cheap, nice and fast!

Do try their egg tart if you happen to visit this coffeeshop as they've got the best egg tart there besides K.F.C one.Rest of the food is so-so but worth trying the century egg porridge.Service is very poor over there and they always serve your drinks last if you don't keep asking them to serve your drinks. There is a few occasion where my friend & I finished our food and our drinks is not even serve hence most of the time we'd just cancel the order of our drinks helplessly.

Decent dim sum at reasonable price. Its quite a good supper choice if you are craving for some dim sum in the middle of the night, I think this is quite an ideal place. Quite a variety of dim sum for you to choose from. I personally quite like their Chee Cheong Fun and carrot cake, its yummy. And not forgetting their prawn dumpling - hakau and siew mai.

Sometimes, i will have craving for dim sum in the night. My Hubby at start always find it hard to have dim sum at night, who will serve dim sum at night. I remembered geylang has a Mongkok Dim Sum, i just to go there to have supper after my night party. Of coz dim sum cannot compare to dim sum at tung luk restuarant but still taste not too bad. Price wise definitely affordable.
