Signature Dishes
My friends and I decided to try out their steamboat buffet. Included in the buffet price are starters, where each person can order one dish each. Starter - Sichuan-Style Monkey Head Mushrooms: This was not spicy at all even though it's Sichuan-style and has dried chilli stir-fried with the mushrooms. The mushroom chunks were coated with batter, deep-fried then stir-fried with cashews, sliced onion, garlic and ginger in a slightly sweet sauce. It has a very meaty texture/mouthfeel and I think even those who don't like vegetarian food will love this dish. This was extremely yummy Starter - House Special Beef: This was equally good!!! I'm seriously impressed by their starters. Even though they said it's one serving, it's quite a lot so each starter can be shared by 2-3 people. Both starters came piping hot. The beef was tender and flavourful, really really good. For the steamboat, we got two soup bases, Wild Mushroom Soup and Chicken Soup. The Chicken Soup was ok/normal, while the Wild Mushroom Soup had a very strong mushroom taste. Despite this, the Wild Mushroom Soup was very pleasant and unique, different from the usual chicken/pork bone soup. The only thing about the 2 soup bases is that they got extremely salty at the end after adding in all the ingredients. At the start, they gave us a tray of many ingredients but also said that if we do not want any of that, we can just return them immediately. These consisted of things like a variety of mushrooms and vegetables, sliced fish, chicken, homemade prawn/squid balls, tofu, corn etc. For those ingredients that you want but are not there (e.g. beef, pork, mussels etc), you can simply tick them on their menu sheet and pass it to the staff. We ordered some more ingredients like marinated beef slices, sliced pork, pig stomach, pig skin, mussels, prawns, fried beancurd skin, other types of vegetables, lotus root, yam, fried mantou etc. The ingredients were all clean and fresh, and the portions aren't measly. For eg the muscles were fresh and succulent, the corn was sweet, the fried mantou remained crispy even after a while and the beef slices and chicken were really nice and tender. I'd also like to mention that their service is really good. They are really attentive and would refill our teapot and also our steamboat with soup without us having to inform them. When you raise your hand they will also notice you and head over to you really quickly. Overall this is a pretty good buffet steamboat place at a mid-range price

Shopping on weekday here is pretty good as there isn't much crowd. We went to Mushroom Pot and ordered the 1 for 1 Hotpot Combo Platter (OG Card members promo) Clear and light wild mushroom broth as soup base; thinly sliced pork with fresh assorted mushrooms, vegetable, tang hoon, meat ball, etc. Set comes with delicious egg toufu with mushroom sauce. The place was spacious and plenty of seats were available , and staff were friendly and responsive.

I didnt realise this shop until my friend introduce to me. This shop was quite hidden in the sense that it is ocated at one of the floors of the OG in Orchard point. FoodThese are the starters on top of the standard steam boat ingredients. The steam boat offered a few kinds of soup stock and we had chosen the mushroom stock which tastes so mushroom and we like itCrispy squid with wasabi saucebatter was crispy but too bad the squid was hard. Wasabi sauce tastes more like mayonise sauce as it wasnt spicy.腐皮野菌卷 Beancurd roll with mushroomStrong mushroom taste wrapped in beancurd. Went well with thai sweet and sour chilli sauce.ServiceService is quite slow when we ordering buffet items. They become slower and slower when comes to repeat orders.AmbienceThe place is quiet and spacious.PriceDoesnt worth the price, food it mediocre.Recommendation / TipsA quiet place and suitable for big group gathering.Might and seafood lover will not enjoy this place as this place doesnt offer much varieties apart from mushrooms.

For a start, we ordered two types of soup base, namely wild mushroom and spicy ma-la soup. These two soup bases are pre-included in the buffet price, but you can add $4-$6 to have other soup bases. I like the wild mushroom soup base as the mushrooms' fragrance and taste are strong but not overpowering. We are entitled to pick 5 items from their starters or house specials prior to having our steamboat and this is already included in the buffet price as well.

I went there for the buffet dinner. We ordered the mushroom pot steamboat buffet. The small dishes that came with it were simply delicious. Worth mentioning were the monkey-head mushroom in special sauce and Golden Mantou in the picture. Crunchy monkey-head mushroom tasted a bit like You Tiao and the Mantou taste heavenly when you eat it together with the condense milk provided. We had the "Yuan-yang" pot where there were 2 types of soup based. I try the "Ma-La" soup as I like spicy but the other mushroom soup base was great. Meat fresh and sliced thinly though my friend said the prawns were not very fresh. Price is still affordable and worth it .
