Was back at nana thai again for thai food! this time round, i have tried their ale carte dishes and shared with my friendsMango salad!which only cost $6 and it is extremely tasty! the spice is just right and the mango is very fresh tom yum soup! this is a must order. i love the spice and how thick the soup is and the flavor of tom yum is just right. there are a lot of ingredients inside the soup too such as sotong, fish, crab meat, mushroom etc.The egg omelette is rather average compared to the above 2 dishes. Minced pork and cabbage are inside the omelette. It taste alright, nothing fantastic about it but nothing awful too. Overall, me and my friend really find it worth it to dine in here. the food is nice and affordable. we only spend $10 each. If you are a fan of thai food, this place is a must go! continue reading

Never really a fan of thai food, or rather the only thing i like about thai food would be tomyum soup! But NANA THAI FOOD prove me wrong! Was there with a friend of mine that is crazy over thai cuisine, so on the safe side, she went ahead with the orders! First up was the papaya salad with raw crab! yes you hear me, raw crab and surprising its really good. The flesh of the crab was slimy but sweet! Didnt realise that the crab was raw till my friend asked to try it. Second dish was cockles with chilli (lots of lots of chilli) which i didnt manage to take a photo of it as we were to hungry that i forgot all about it! Taste wise was normal, nothing different from the 'hum' we get to eat outside! But its really good when we added the 'sticky noodles'Last up will be their prawn congee! Come to think of it, what we had for lunch really sounded like a mini seafood feast! As for the taste of the porridge( i call it porridge because its the watery kind, somewhat like teochew porridge), it has a very teochew kind of fish porridge tastes. In addition, the prawns was really fresh! continue reading

We have not been to Na Na Thai Restaurant, Golden Mile for dinner for quite sometime we decide to go back there on Thursday night cos Jenny passed her driving test (1st attempt)! My favorite dish of all - Spicy Cockles Salad. The cockles are being slightly boiled (although I prefer it completely raw), but it's still quite raw, tossed with onions, chili padi, spring onions, lemongrass & mint leaves. For those who wished to try slightly-raw cockles but yet afraid of the fishy smell can try this. Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup is served in traditional claypot. Sour & Spicy, yet does not choke your taste bud. Fresh ingredients tooGrill Chicken is tender, served with Thai Chili SauceBasil Chicken was not spicy enough. From the picture, it's minced chicken, but it turned out to be shredded chickenPhad Thai is overly sweet. The noodles also clump togetherFried Kuay Teow is also sweetFried Tang Hoon. This again, is sweet. The dishes are pretty good but taste of the noodles somehow doesn't taste as good as beforeMixed Seafood in Curry. Bleh~~Staffs here are friendly & the best thing about it, they are open 24hrs! continue reading

they uses small intestines instead of the big ones we eat at chang chern porridge in chinatown. quite crispy i must say, seems like a good dish to go with some ice cod beer. it came served hot from the deep fryer, we can almost hear the "crispyling" sound of deep fried fritters. the place seems popular with tom yum hotpot which is served in those orange clypot, may want to try it next time. cost us around $14 with the 2 drinks ordered. continue reading
