We walked around and decided to go over to Nydc for some cakes and to rest our legs. The cakes are wonderful and they even add on some garnish~ The price is totally worth for the ambiance and food.

lovely design
Just OK 2012-03-21

Attracted to the lovely cakes, i went into nydc to try their “i heart you”. It’s a red velvet cake, topped with cream cheese. Am i expecting too much? rather, the appearance is deceiving. The cake is dry and the taste of cheese is too bland. Definitely better choices around. Nice ambience though.

Dessert has never been so good!
Smile 2012-01-13

After dinner, we decided to head to NYDC for dessert. I was mainly attracted to the tantalizing looks of those yummy cakes that were placed outside the store. I love this place for its deco as well as its variety with desserts. I was spoilt for choice when they handed me the menu because everything looked so good! We finally decided on The Big 'O' Cheesecake which was basically a very crusty base of cake which had rich cream cheese topped off with mouth watering chocolate fudge! The chocolate fudge was indeed generous and covered almost 3/4 of the cake! It was extremely rich and satisfied the cravings of this chocoholic! Highly recommended! It's also a best seller at NYDC. We also had the mango tango (if I recall correctly) which was amazing! I never expected to be so good. It was topped off with a delicious scoop of ice cream. Perfect way to end any day! smile

coffee and cake
Just OK 2011-12-06

We Aussies love coffees and cakes for morning tea.

Youc an people watch and see what they're wasting time on.

The service is attentive, IF you manage to get their attention.

The food, well, the coffee was rather bitter. It was also very small for a coffee. And the pecan pie was dry, and pretty flavourless. Nothing like the picture in their menu!! The chocolate cake was slightly better, but it's pretty hard to mess up a chocolate cake.

No one comes to fill up your water unless you beg. Nothing spectacular to note. Probably not recommended.

cake :D
Smile 2011-11-03

Bought a cake for friend as afternoon tea. It even has a message page for us to write to maybe birthday person/ friends.

The chocolate cheese cake is awesome. Rich in flavour and moist in texture. The combination of chocolate and cheese i actually good, and i like it.

The shop sells lots of cakes and i would patronise again.

The 'new' menu~
Smile 2011-09-29

It's been awhile since i ate there...
They kinda changed the menu~ :/

Following my friend's recomendations, i ordered some ribs~ (cant really remember the name)

It's quite ok~ not bad~
The meat is quite tender~
But it gets on my nerves after awhile from the cutting and stuffs (RIBS -.-)
hehehehe~ but then again~ it's kinda worth the effort i guess >_<

Perfect match
Smile 2011-09-26

We were at Tampines 1, and I was torn between F.I.S.H and NYDC,both looked equally good. We ended up at NYDC, and it did not disppointed. There we so many tempting desserts on the menu, finally I decided to ordered Berry Dark Mocha Elephanccino as dessert. I didn't know that mocha flavor can match with raspberry syrup. Surprisingly it get well. The mocha neutralised the overwhelming taste in my mouth. The drink was prepared nicely and wasn't too thick and sweet, plus it had a subtle raspberry taste. It also have whipped cream on top of it. Serve hot or iced.

Hazelnut Elephanchinno
Smile 2011-07-10

The hazelnut elephanchinno is a new beverage from NYDC. It is a huge cup of cold beverage that is good to last you for a long chat with a friend. It has a very strong nutty hazelnut fragrance and leaves a good aftertaste in your mouth. The hazelnut taste actually covers the coffee aroma. The drink is pretty sweet. As a health eater, I requested not to have whipped cream.

Breakfast @ NYDC
Just OK 2011-06-30 (Related Review)

If you would like to find a nice cosy venue to have your breakfast, NYDC cafe at Tampines One is one of a good choice to choose from. Not too crowded and service staffs here are quite attentive to the customers. However I think they need some improvement on their food. Egg omelette is quite dry and tasteless and the toasted bread is not crunchy at all. My verdict: 6/10

Servings are quite small, but the taste are not too bad. Unfortunately not too filling for me. They also took quite long to serve their dishes. My verdict: 6/10

Christmas is coming!
Smile 2010-11-30

It's the best place ever for an after-movie-sit-down-and-relax session! I think it's the most Christmas-atmosphere restaurant in the whole Tampines 1. On a Monday Afternoon it's so comfortable that you can sit there for ages, to chat with friends or read a book or just enjoy an apple crumble.

I never had good feelings with NYDC last time because I tried their cake & I actually didn't like it. This time, we had salad, buffalo wings, baked mushroom, apple crumble & latte... & I like everything!

With a bunch of very good company, we enter the make-you-happy-deocrated nydc. We took forever to decide on what to eat but the waiter was not at all mad & kept the warm smile. (i think partly because there's very few customers on a Monday afternoon) The salad was huge, filling & fresh. My baked mushroom was pathetically just 4 pcs for $6.9 ;( Latte looks beautiful. The apple crumble was addictive! I thought I was full after eating the big pieces of buffalo wings but I uncontrollably kept sending the apple crumble into my mouth while it actually was my fren's order ;p
