I shared with my son’s his peranakan food. he ordered the babi pontei. The separated the portions into tiny servings. I found the gravy of the babi pontei a little oily. There was a layer of oil on the surface. But it was pretty easy to remove the oil. The gravy is really good, very tasty. the meat is very tender, no need to chew much too. I think it is pretty good. price reasonable too.

as my dinner lack vegetables, my mother thought it was good to order some vegetables for me. she went to the nyonya peranakan stall and ordered the nyonya chap chai. the portion was not too large but the chap chai was very tasty. the gravy was not too salty. The vegetables were braised till very soft. I like the sweetness of the gravy contributed by the cabbage. It was so satisfying.

I ordered the babi pontei from the Nyonya Peranakan stall. You can hardly find peranakan food in food courts anymore so I was surprised to see one here. The babi pontei was a little on the oily side, there was a layer of oil on top, but it was pretty easy to scoop out. The gravy was indeed delicious, very tasty, went well with the rice. the babi aka pork was so tender and it absorbed the tasty gravy. It taste absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied with the meal.
