Good:- Ordered fish head curry. Quite alot of meat but the curry is not too spicy. Suitable for those who doesn't take too spicy stuff.- The vegetables we ordered taste soft and great.Not-so-good:- Ordered braised meat but it wasn't oroperly cleaned in the sense that there were still many hair on the skin.- Went to eat at 8pm and many of the things were already sold out.Overall:The curry fish head was more to the ordinary side. May not return as it is not exactly cheap. continue reading

I seldom eat rice during lunch but the mixed rice here was great. Plenty of good choices and very resonable price. A type of vegetable, an egg, and fish fillet, only cost $3.50. Everyday long queue especially during lunch time, but they are quite fast in attending to all customers. You might want to think of what you wanna eat prior to your turn as they'll keep asking what you want, so to keep the queue flow fast. continue reading

09 March, 2012For more reviews with photos, please check out http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/02/ocean-curry-fish-head.htmlOcean Curry Fish Head is super popular with the office crowd, not just for its fresh and yummy Nonya-style curry fish head, but for the variety of ready-cooked dishes, mostly delicious, which you can pick from and they will serve it to you. Our entire meal comprising 5 dishes, rice, a bowl of curry gravy and drinks cost only a mere $20. It was a very good and cheap meal. We didn't have fish head curry this round as there was only 2 of us. Also, we didn't want to go back to the office all sweaty. We had:1) Otak-Otak, fish meat made into a paste, wrapped in banana leaves for fragrance and steamed. The fish paste had a bouncy textured feel and a nice spice to it2) Sauteed Spinach was very light, very little soy was used to cook this so it remained light.A faint sprinkling of ikan bilis lent some flavour3) Tomato-Chili Prawns were pleasantly fresh. Their food sells out everyday, so it's little wonder that the food served is fresh. Prawns were springy and sweet, and the tomato ketchup and chilli sauce based gravy gave this dish a very homestyled feel4) Abalone Mushrooms - smooth, slippery texture so they went down like a dream.I like this for its clean and plain taste5) Ikan Batang (Spanish Mackerel) was mild and firm, no fishy smells here. The oyster and soy flavouring complemented the delicate flesh of the fish continue reading

Ocean Curry Fish Head is actually a Mixed Rice (Za Cai Fan) stall selling their signature Claypot Curry Fish Head. A lot of patrons also ordered other food from the Mixed Rice dishes spread.enjoyed the Curry Fish Head, it was pretty good. The curry was spicy, creamy and yummy. The Red Snapper Fish Head was also meaty. The claypot also packed with ingredients like lady fingers and eggplant. continue reading
