My mummy said she wants to be ‘trendy’ and so she wants to eat ‘ang mo’ food for lunch instead of the usual chinese food, so we went to O Coffee Club at Raffles City Shopping Centre. We ordered Skippers Delight Penne, Savoury Potato Platter.Fragrant and tangy lobster sauces coats over well cooked penne topped with Zesty lemon, rosemary and garlic fish filletPotato platter is fantastically crispy fries and wedges with the cheese and salsa dipping. These smelt so good!Overall pleasant dining experience and great companionship! continue reading

Judging by the name of the cafe, some people thinks that Coffee Club is a place that sells only coffee and pastries but that's not entirely true. At Coffee Club, they have more than just coffee and pastries, just looking at the food menu, there is a selection of dishes from salads, sandwiches, pastas and main courses such as steak and chicken. On the drinks menu, other than a selection of coffee which is the majority, they do serve drinks like sodas and milkshakes. The price of the food is slightly expensive compared to other cafes but the ambiance gives a cozy and relaxing feeling which makes you reluctant to leave. continue reading

This Coffee Club outlet is far from being the best place to chill. Neither conducive to conversation or people watching. The cafe has no windows and most patrons have no views, unless you manage to get one of the five tables at the far end of the cafe which overlooks the lobby of Swissotel The Stamford. The tables at this Coffee Club are arranged less than an arm's length fom one another so much so that one can hear every single word uttered by those seated at the neighboring table even if they were speaking in hushed tones. Service is rather slow and inattentive. The entree menu here is less extensive than other Coffee Club outlets. Some popular items like pork ribs and slipper lobster linguineare not available at this branch. The day we visited both seafood entrees - fish and chips, and shrimp crusted salmon filet - were not available. So most of the choices left were pasta dishes. Hete is the pesto fish and clam chowder linguine $16.20++. The pasta was a little overcooked - turned out a tad soft rather than al dente. The clam chowder was bland and way too watery, and there was only five of the tiniest clams I've ever seen. There were two chunks of white fish that was totally bland and tasteless - obviously fish that had been in the freezer too long and not marinated prior - almost like eating microwaved fish. The handful.of mesclun leaves topping the dish was also out of place. Thumbs down! continue reading

When I was much younger, I was an ignorant little brat with little knowledge of coffee. It's like playing music to a cow. Totally different from where I stand today... But my first true taste of coffee wasn't a cuppa. It was from a dessert date with a few friends that got me hooked up! Weird but that's the truth! An ice cream styled in the from of a cake with beige coloured cappuccino at the top and milk chocolate at the bottom. The entire sweet creation was resting on a crust of crushed oreo crumbs. Nativity wouldn't be completed without a drizzle of chocolate fudge and generous amount of oreo crumbs. There my fellow readers, is Coffee Club's signature dessert. Muddy Mud Pie. It's one of those best moments in life just you and me with a few of our friends for companions... I wish time would cease just for a while just for me to admire you. That's how I got my first taste of coffee or I should say coffee ice cream... continue reading

The steak sandwich was surprisingly very good. You can choose the type of bread and cheese you want, however, the waitress did not ask me what I wanted. I had to ask the waitress if she knew what I wanted before she left with our orders! The meat is flavourful and the sandwich came out very hot, which helped the cheese to melt nicely. Service is unenthusiastic but the food is pretty good. Came with fries and very small amount of salad. Recommended. continue reading
