Once Upon a Milkshake

I first chanced upon this place years ago, and fell in love with their milkshakes and the cosy setting of the cafe.

They serve pretty good milkshakes and I find their flavours really unique, unlike the mainstream vanilla / chocolate / strawberry flavours that are overly sweet.Here I have Rum & Raisin (my favourite!) in mini cup & Hazelnut in regular cup

The flavours are more savory than sweet, and really thick and creamy, achieved from blending their quality ice creams with low fat milk .

I usually order just the mini cup at $2.90 because the milkshakes are rather filling.

Feeling a bit jelak with her constant chocolate endeavours, Merlion Wayfarer explored a non-chocolate one this round. She went for the Red Velvet Cake with Ice Cream. Combined with Babelicious Baileys, the combination costs S$6.50. The cake was surprisingly delicious with the Baileys taste enhancing the cream cheese fragrance in the Red Velvet cake.

Today, Merlion Wayfarer was reminded of one of the first few reasons why she was attracted to the products here - The flavours of the milkshakes were adorably portrayed as cartoon characters with interesting names.Shakes were priced affordably at S$3.60 (mini), S$5.70 (regular) and S$6.90 (large). Merlion Wayfarer was at Tanjong Pagar on a "Once Upon" fever. After trying out Once Upon A Rosti, she walked that few steps to try on Once Upon A Milkshake at Maxwell Chambers.

It was a weekday night and quite quiet after the rush of office hours. The location could have added to the privacy as it was located behind the Red Dot Museum.

The chocolate Truffle Castle milkshake (S$3.60) was thick and gooey. Little chocolate bits dot the top of the milkshake for a more chocolatey taste. Yummy!

Dropped by once upon a milkshake after work to grab a milkshake. As this is my first time trying their milkshake i have no idea what to order so i went along with a safe choice which is the cookies and cream milkshake. The woman at the counter seemed very unhappy to serve me and she did not even smile at all! The shop was empty and i was the only customer at that time. Moving on to the milkshake, it was great though. It was really smooth and thick too. But the oreo bits was quite little, would have prefer more oreo bits in it. Now they are having promotions for the great singapore sale so the mini milkshake only costs $3!

I have to confess I am a big fan of OUAM's milkshake. Their premium ice cream milkshakes are good. They also have interesting character names to associate with each flavour. Recently, they have added 8 more new flavours to their menu.

I like the milkshake a lot because they are smooth, thick and creamy. They used their own OUAM ice cream and quality low fat milk to make this delicious milkshakes.

Once Upon A Milkshake aka OUAM provides patrons with premium ice cream milkshakes. Their milkshakes are produced by blending OUAM premium range of home-made ice cream with quality low fat milk.

Once inside the restaurant, you will feel like stepping into a children play house with miniature chairs and tables in a purple colour theme fairyland.

OUAM offers 10 different ice cream flavours for your milkshake. Accordingly to the waitress, the popular flavours are agent strawberry and chocolate truffle castle.Usually in a milkshake you will find that it is very sweet maybe due to the amount of sugar syrup in it and the difficulty in sucking up the milkshake with your straw. At OUAM a sip and I can taste the different in texture and sweetness. The texture was smooth and sweetness was just nice. We ordered the chocolate truffle castle and nutty peanut butler milkshakes.

The milkshake here are not just pure milkshake, you can add in different types of topping in it (just like eating an ice cream with toppings) according to your liking and the service staffs will prepare accordingly. As I a big fan of chocolate, I always order their chocolate milk shake with extra chocolate chips added to it. The milkshake is very thick in texture and the chocolate used in it is quite fragrant as well. Chocolate chips as added that quite unique crunchiness every time you drink it. The portion is quite generous and long queues can be seen here during weekends as the staffs reallly takes lots of time to prepare your favourite milk shake.

Bought a voucher for a milk shake at Once Upon a MilkShake. We went to redeem the milkshake at Maxwell Chambers.

Can't really decide what to go for as they only have the cartoon menu with minimal description. Decided to go for the King's Favorites since it seems to the more popular and top grade choices. We ordered Agent Red Velvet since the cocoa with cream cheese seems interesting.

Was kind of put off when we received a bright pink milkshake for our order. Nothing came to my mind except lots of colouring .

The milkshake was thick and we do taste the cream cheese but nothing much of the cocoa. I only had a few sips from that cup.

This is a great desert to go along for all executives, or even just students like me I really love the bubblegum flavor of once upon a milkshake, and perhaps they add in some addictives, i have no idea but i really loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it so much im definitely going back again

I still had one more OUAM voucher to use, so I decided to pop by their flagship store at Maxwell Chambers. This time I was torn between choosing their hot babes premium drinks, Agent Red Velvet and Babylicious Baileys. I would usually go for anything with baileys but I decided to try something new. Agent Red Velvet contains cocoa and cream cheese (I chose an additional topping of chocolate chips). It was as if they blended a whole red velvet cupcake with milk. I could distinctly taste the sweetness of cocoa and milk with a tinge of sour cream cheese, just like how the sweet red velvet cake is topping with cream cheese! OUAM generally does not disappoint with a thick milky consistency and interesting flavours. I intended to hang around the small cozy shop but there is no wifi here (I wasn’t allowed to tap into OUAM’s network either, boohoo), and 3G was spotty.

The milkshakes are available in 2 sizes (mini @ $3.30 and regular @ $5.50). The mini ones are really tiny, but I’d go for mini and try different flavors. Best ice cream and milkshake in Singapore? Maybe, maybe not. But does it really matter?

Friend recommended that we grab a milkshake to round off our night of feasting.

Went for a Baileys one and the amount of alcohol in that drink proved that they give a good size pour into that one. The result is a wonderful cooling drink with enough kick on the side.

This drink is definitely a come-back-to!

Would always pop by Once Upon a Milkshake to visit my friend when she was working there. That was also when I fell in love with their milkshake. Love their oreo milkshake especially! Nicely blended with a generous serving of oreo. Such a great way to quech your thirst or just to chill out with your loved ones

I am on an ice cream trail, tasted quite a number of ice cream. Now my girlfriend and I are tasting once upon a milkshake ice cream and brownie. The ice cream is one of the nicest we have tasted, it is rich and creamy. The chocolate flavor is not too sweet, yet not bitter. It is really an enjoyable dessert!
