The Carbonara Box with Fusilli ($6.90) has turkey bacon cooked with creamy parmesan and egg sauce. This combination tasted overly creamy but still delectable within a serving. The Bacon Box with Linguine ($6.90) is basically an aglio olio cooked with turkey bacon. It tasted nice although there was a layer of oil at the bottom upon finishing my pasta. The Tropical Mango Ice Blended ($1.80) is very nice and definitely one to order to finish off the meal. For the full review and photos, visit http://makanarts.com/2013/07/01/pasta-box-cityvibe/ continue reading

Being a fan of pasta, after walking past pasta box numerous times at clementi, I went in to try their pasta! Their pasta are rather affordable and a unique concept of eating pasta from a box. I supposed it doubles up as a form of takeaway as well. The box were rather sturdy! I ordered a carbonara spaghetti for $6.90. It was piping hot! My carbonara spaghetti only had mini ham pieces which is not a lot and together with the creamy sauce. It's not too bad for $6.90, however I feel that the noodles can be cook for a few more minutes to make it more soft. Perhaps I'll go back again to try other pastas! continue reading

My first try at Clementi outlet. Two men working, one in kitchen and another at cashier. Quite a small outlet with limited seats. But their menu have variety of pasta, sides and new risotto rice. A self service concept so no GST nor service tax. Quite pricey at $7.90, considering that it is not a set meal. Just pasta alone. They don't have tabasco sauce available, even though the basic condiments like chilli or tomato sauce in packet form is there. They let you choose from spaghetti, penne and fusilli so I choose spaghetti. They cook on the spot so is piping hot when it is ready. Quite fast. The portion is just right for me as my stomach don't feel draggy. I counted actually 3 prawns and 2 squids and the rest you will be savouring their pasta. The prawns are fresh as you chew because is springy. The squid and spaghetti are just well-cooked. The texture between hard and soft. The spaghetti is soaked in their tomato herb sauce and is very tasty. They do it in a pan fried way. Superb love. The packaging is cute.I will come again for their risotto. continue reading
