pasta time!
Smile 2013-04-17

Me and my two friends all three of us ordered the same pasta!
As we are on a budget.... the cheesy crumble spaghetti is
considered reasonable at $6.90 !

The crumble mentioned are actually parmesan crumble!
so it is a extra cheesy pasta meal for us!

Because the pasta are tossed in homemade cheese sauce by
pasta mania! It is quite special too.

Overall, a nice ambiance and service were fast.

Chicken Cheese Salsiccia

   Chicken Cheese Salsiccia

I decided to try something new as i felt adventurous that day. I ordered the Chicken Cheese Salsiccia. They used cheese sausage for the sausage which made it taste very good. their sausage is not too salty as well. the sauce they used is the tomato sauce, the sauce was not overly sour. it went well with my pasta. i think it is a really delicious pasta, glad i stepped out of my comfort zone and tried it.

“Beef Pastrami”
Smile 2013-01-25

The first time I heard about “Beef Pastrami” is the commercial on television for subway’s beef pastrami sub. I was surprised to see that Pasta Mania also have they own version of Beef Pastrami. I decided to give it a try. I must say the sauce they mixed the pasta in is pretty unique, it was yellow in colour. After flipping through the menu, I realized it was actually oyster cream sauce, how cool is that! There were bacon slices among my Penne pasta. as a whole I felt that it was the sauce that brought out the dish, really enjoyed it!

different kinds of pasta
Smile 2013-01-24

Pasta Mania just have a lot of different kinds of pasta, you will never get sick of their pasta. this time I was craving for something spicy and ordered their Spicy Chicken Fusilli. I think this one is really good, they mixed tomato and chilli for the sauce. So you will not get sick of the sauce. They were pretty generous with the sauce as well some places they give so little sauce until the pasta is too dry. there were also quite a lot of pieces of chicken. The fusilli is cooked perfectly, very chewy. enjoyed eating this.

nice food but disappointing service by staff
Just OK 2013-01-18
Went for a late dinner at Pastamania. It was around 9pm so there was only about 5 tables of people at the time. Most of them had almost finish their meal as well.
Pastamania is having a current promotion:

We went for the Cheesy Crumble Bacon, Lemon honey jello drink and Strawberry pizza. Additional order of Sesame coriander chicken pizza.

Pasta came pretty fast.
Pasta: pasta is springy and it each pasta had sufficient sauce. Not too much, not too little.
Bacon: bacon was fried to a perfection - slightly crispy. None of it was burnt. smile

Next, came our drink: Lemon Honey Jello

It tasted like the malaysian ai yu bing. A mixture of sweet and sour. Personally, I feel that it is too sweet for me. But, my bf loved it!!

After which, our dessert came.

It was DELICIOUS!! The strawberry gave it a tinge of sourness, but not too overwhelming.

By now, it was already 9.30pm. We finished the pasta, drank half the drink and even started on our dessert.
WHERE IS OUR PIZZA?? Hence, we encountered a similar experience as appleteasg. sad

Finally, it came in a take-away box! We told the girl nicely that we want to eat in - which was told when we first ordered. She didn't say anything and just took it away and guess what?! She just left it on the counter, in the box and went to eat her food!! OMG! huffyStory doesn't end yet. We called her several times, waving our hands high in her direction and she is OBLIVIOUS!! huffy huffy
Pastamania should really look into staff training to prevent similar incidents from happening.
In the end, another staff took the pizza out of the box and serve it to us. Luckily for her, it is still warm.

The long-awaited sesame coriander pizza.

The only thing I look forward to in Pastamania.
The taste of sesame, chicken, coriander is just P-E-R-F-E-C-T! lol lol
Crust: thin and baked to perfection. Not too hard even if left on the counter for a period of time.
Ingredients: Each slice had all the ingredients that is suppose to have. Kudos to the chef for taking the effort to ensure! lol

Something on the back of the menu..

hot basil chicken pizza
Smile 2012-09-02

For lunch, I ordered the 7 inch hot basil chicken pizza from pasta mania. It cost me $8.90. the size of the pizza was just right for me. despite being called hot basil, it was not really spicy. The amount of chicken they added was just nice so I thought the pizza was kind of light. It was also the thin crust kind, the pizza base tasted a little like biscuit, very crispy. it was pretty cheesy as well. the chicken was marinated and very tasty. worth every bit of the $8.90.

a dash of tabasco sauce to add hotness
Smile 2012-07-31

I had a nice hearty dinner of basil chicken aglio. My pasta choice was fusilli. The pasta is cooked really well, it’s texture is very chewy, not too hard nor is it too soft. The basil chicken is a little oily and salty. even when eaten with the pasta, the minced chicken still taste a tad too salty. this pasta is not spicy at all, so I would recommend to add a dash of Tabasco sauce if you want some hotness in your pasta. it really makes the pasta taste nicer.

fried calamari
Smile 2012-07-26

i accompanied my girlfriend to pasta mania for dinner. since my mother already cooked dinner at home, I ordered myself something light to eat with her. I got myself a plate of fried calamari. Unlike their pasta the calamari took some time to be served to us. However it was good, it was coated with the crispy batter. The calamari inside was still soft and chewy despite being deep fried. Calamari turns hard and rubbery very fast if they are cooked too long but this was not the case for pasta mania’s calamari. I was very satisfied with it.

Dinner at Pastamania
Smile 2012-07-04
My family decided to celebrate my birthday by having dinner out. The kids at once shouted out PASTAMANIA. So it was decided that it would be PASTAMANIA. We got dressed by 7.30pm and set out and reached our destination very soon. We were then seated at our table and the waitress came over to us with the menu card and we started to browse through it. The kids quickly decided on Waffle Potato and Calamari. We then went to the counter and placed an order of 2 Waffle Potato and Calamari, MUSSELS & CLAMS Pasta, Mango Smoothie and for dessert we ordered Tiramisu and Choco Italiano (which was my choice and my favorite).

Our meal arrived in a short while and we all began to enjoy our dinner not forgetting it was my birthday. They kids really enjoyed the waffles and the calamari and sipped their mango smoothie and I could see the happy smiles on the faces of the kids and it was the best Birthday gift. The MUSSELS & CLAMS Pasta is really delicious and is prepared with homemade broth and you can feel it's yummy taste in every spoon. The desserts are the best and the chocolate just melts into the mouth.

In short, I had a nice Birthday with my dear family members smile

12 inch pizza
Smile 2012-06-25
My sister was craving for pizza so I drove to the nearby pasta mania and take away a 12 inch pizza for us to share. I ordered her favourite flavor which was the sesame coriander chicken. The 12 inch pizza cost me about $15 but it was really huge. The pizza is the thin crust kind. They were very generous with the toppings on the pizza. The coriander chicken was very tasty and tender, it actually tasted sweetish. I thought it would take some time for them to bake the pizza but it turn out that the wait was only ten minutes.

we have choices for our tea at pasta mania
Smile 2012-06-12
i was waiting for my friend to come so I headed to pasta mania to have a drink. I ordered their hot tea, they even had selection for their tea which made me very impressed. Many restaurants do not really give you a choice of the tea. For pasta mania, they had plenty of choices from which I chose their earl grey tea. They even used premium tea bags – twinings. I love twinings tea. It is very fragrant, the earl grey tea is really soothing and fragrance. I am so glad that pasta mania actually give us customers really good and premium tea.

alfredo pasta upsized
Smile 2012-04-27
i went to pasta mania with my hubby. I was really hungry that day so I decided to order their alfredo pasta upsize. I love pasta mania cos their food get served really fast. The alfredo pasta is one of the nicest I have eaten. Their cream sauce is very creamy yet it is not too thick. The sauce is very tasty as well. They added a lot of peas into the dish. One thing about their cream sauce is you won’t get sick of eating it after awhile unlike other pasta restaurants where you get really sick of the sauce. They are very generous with their ham and chicken. Their chicken is very tender and succulent. I ordered fusilli, the pasta cooked perfectly, not too hard not is it too soft. Most importantly it does not stick to your teeth. the upsized portion is indeed larger than the normal portion, it is very filling.

Best Italian dishes served
Smile 2012-03-24
Since it was a Friday evening and the kids would have the next 2 days off school we decided to visit the Choa Chu Kang Library since it's the kids favorite place to be. Once we were done and the kids had enough of their reading we decided to leave and go for dinner.

Looks like we were all in the mood for Italian Food and we jointly decided on Pastamania which is just one level below the library and we made our way for it. Once we arrived we were told that it was a free seating and we could sit wherever we liked. Since we were with the baby pram we chose to sit right at the entrance table. Once we were all seated comfortably we looked through the menu that was handed over to us. Then came the hardest part about what to select. The kids quickly chose Waffle Potato and Pizza and we looked through the Pizza session and chose the 7' Meat Lover. Then I chose Bruschetta - which is served with chopped Tomatoes and hubby decided to taste the Calamari. For drinks we chose Mango Smoothie and Mocha smoothie and the Dessert was Choco Italiano. Once we decided on our menu I walked to the counter and placed an order and the boy at the counter asked me if I would like to go for a combo of Waffle Potato and I readily agreed since the kids are crazy for Coke. Once I was done I paid up and was given a token no.32 with the tray of Coke and Mango smoothie in it. I took the tray back to our table and sat while our food was on it way. The Bruschetta arrived 1st followed by the Waffle Potato and Calamari. The kids happily enjoyed the Waffles while hubby and I enjoyed the Calamari and Bruchetta. Then came the Pizza and the smoothies which made the kids even more excited. We all enjoyed our lovely and delicious dinner at Pastamania and once we were done we all shared the dessert and it was just as great as all the other dishes we ate.

Thankfully we don't have to visit Italy to enjoy their cuisine's since it's all available right here in our lovely Singapore smile

Pasta meal

   Kid's meal

Mushroom baked rice and cheesy pasta

Had dinner at Pasta Mania. Flipped through the menu and ordered Mushroom baked rice as it looks tempting. I choose the cheapest pasta on the menu to try which is the Cheesy crumble pasta. The service here is self service as we have to queue and pay for our food at the counter first. We can choose from the kind of pasta we want. They have linguini, spaghetti, penne, etc.
I ordered a meatball spaghetti from the kid's menu which cost only $7.90 and comes with a fruit juice and 2 piece of garlic bread. I was quite dissapointed with the variety of drinks in the kid's menu as we can only choose from 2 choice-either the orange juice or tropical juice.
The baked rice is served hot, and the cheese on top of the baked rice is chewy and nice. There were a few types of mushroom inside the baked rice. It makes a perfect dinner. The kid's meal pasta comes with 3 meatballs and is not so salty which is healthy for kids. The service staff is friendly and attentive so i would come back again. However, they forget to serve the garlic bread until end of our meal i have to ask the waiter that our garlic bread have not arrived.

POOR SERVICE by the MANAGER
Cries 2011-12-04
It was my most disappointing experience to pasta mania with my girlfriend. we both felt this branch was the worst of all the branches we had been too. what happened was, we ordered a pasta each and on top of our pasta, we ordered their special side combo which is the calamari and a drink. We made our payment with our drink and headed back to the table. A few minutes after we were seated, our pastas were served. we were so impressed by their promptness. We were not very hungry so we slowly ate our pasta while waiting for our calamari. When I finished my food, it had not arrived. We already waited 15 mins. Even my girlfriend finished her pasta and our side dish did not come. We thought it was rather crowded so we decided to wait a little longer. It was 45 mins since the start of our meal and the side dish was no where in sight. Even the next table who just arrived got their food and sides. I brought our receipt to the server and checked. They said our side is on our way.

My girlfriend checked with the female manager who happened to walked pass, she raised her voice at us and said it was frying now. She was so rude that many tables turned and looked at us. All giving this rude manager disapproving looks. I cannot believe that as a pasta mania manager, she could be so rude to her customers. We just told her we waited 45 mins and our sides did not come. DID SHE HAVE TO RAISE HER VOICE AT US? NO!

not even once did she apologise to us for letting us wait and that their back end had missed out our order.

Pasta mania should really look into this and give their staff the necessary training to treat their

customers better.
