DO NOT dine in here. You will wait endlesslyI am taking time to write a review here as I have faced multiple unpleasant experience from this restaurant. Just take for example for my trip today, we know that it is CNY day 2 and hence, we asked how long will it take before the food will be served and they told us 20 minutes. There were only 3 other tables apart from us and we thought okay, sure. But after approaching them TWICE nicely and 45 minutes later, they served us rice and a plate of vegetables just to please us. We waited for another 10 minutes and nothing came. We went up to them to ask them but none of the rest of our dishes were even on the way. We naturally took our leave and went to buy Macs instead. We notice that the way they deal with their customers is that they prioritise takeaways and make customers who dine in, wait forever. Disgusting way of handling their patrons. I mean, if we have to wait for 45 minutes for rice and a plate of vegetables, do not tell us 20 minutes and make us order and wait for nothing. We could have ordered from somewhere else from the beginning. This is not the first time I faced this issue at this restaurant. Be warned. Food is decent but the waiting time is endless. If you have nothing better to do in your life then go ahead. continue reading

I decided to try the sambal fried rice after seeing countless people ordered this dish. i must say it was pretty unique, normally we have sambal sotong, sambang kang kong but hardly sambal fried rice. this place's sambal fried rice is pretty good. it was very fragrant. the sambal had this prawn taste, i like the flavour of the prawn. it was not too spicy that leaves your stomach burning after every mouth. one word to describe it, "SHIOK!". continue reading

I was lazy to go down to da bao dinner so i got my sister to just da bao anything from the zi char stall for me. she had the pork rib king rice for dinner and she found it to be pretty good so she da bao that for me. initially when she told me she gotten me the pork rib rice, i winced at the thought of having to remove the bones from the pork ribs. however my sister reassured me there were no bones. indeed there was no bones in sight. the pork ribs were very tender and i love the marinate they coated it with. as a whole, it was satisfying. continue reading

i went with my hubby to da bao dinner to my in laws from limbang zi char. Apparently they change the entire menu and staff working at stall. We decided to try out their salted fish fried rice and see if it taste better than the previous owner’s. and it does, the rice taste very fragrant, the rice is cooked perfectly, very chewy. They added quite a lot of bean sprout into the dish. However the amount of salted fish does seem rather little. They have 3 different sizes for the fried rice, we ordered the medium size one. The portion was quite a lot and worth it. continue reading
