My buddy & I had just finished dinner at Chili's & instead of Molten Chocolate Cake, we decided to have waffles here!

Weather is a little cold, so I opt for hot chocolate instead of my usual ice tea. Hot chocolate here is served with a cute little mash-mellow loud.

Buddy needs a coffee badly, so so she ordered a Latte $5

Our dessert of the night - Waffle w/Salted Caramel, which also comes with a scope of Ice cream & Cream $11.80
Waffle is warm, crispy & fluffy! Once of the best waffle I had & it's a lot better than Strictly Pancake!

Hot Iron Waffle

   Hot Iron Waffle

Warm and crisp! Love to attack the waffle from its crispy perimeter.
The ice-cream really compliments the waffle and it's def' creamy.
You can choose to ask for more caramel if you have a really sweet tooth like me. (;

The staffs there are really friendly and you can expect a really good ambience.
Good place to spend some quality time during afternoon tea or treating yourself for a nice snack after a long day of work.

Pique Nique for dinner
Smile 2013-03-16

I'm glad there is a quaint cafe with nice ambiance and decoration near my house. A Friday after work calls for some picturesque food and chat with friends.
It was my first try at pique nique after passing by it for so many times.

Personally I love breakfast food and I had Farmer's Omelette while my friends had long island and big breakfast burger.
The farmer's omelette had sauteed mushrooms, potato, bacon and hotdog wrapped inside the juicy and thick omelette. It was very delicious needless to say. One of the better breakfast food I'd eaten at a lower cost at $12.

After main course was desserts of course. I highly recommend the Chocolate Caramel and Passion fruit Meringue. The whoopie cake was a big disappointment. The chocolate cake was hard and dry and it was almost tasteless. I had no idea what I was eating except for a very lousy cake.
Chocolate Caramel is the perfect for chocolate lovers, thick and sweet.
Passion fruit meringue was not on the sweet side, it had a sour and refreshing taste.
The cakes cost around $7 ~ $8.

Hot Iron Waffle
Smile 2013-01-16

My cousin brought me to Pique Nique after told her about my recent love for thick waffles. We ordered a Hot Iron Waffle set with salted caramel sauce, chocolate icecream and whipped cream. I love how they add 'Hot Iron' in their waffle description as to me, it makes the waffle sounds so rustic and droolicious.

The waffle took some time to come which i take as a good sign that it is made on order. The thick waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chocolate icecream should be of good quality as it was creamy and rich. Pairing the contrasting temperatue of the cold icecream with the hot waffle, and adding some whipped cream in every mouthful made me feel totally on cloud nine! Enjoy!! lol

Lunch!
Just OK 2012-12-25

Their ambience was cosy and is a good place for high-tea but i'm here for lunch instead. The table was a tad lower than usual which is not ideal for lunch. We sat at the back and the waiter's vision is blocked by a pillar of wall in front thus we had a hard time trying to get their attention.

I order their mushroom mac and cheese which is priced at $16, it looks dainty but the serving was small. The cheese was yummy but the mushroom tasted overcooked but overall it tasted rather yummy.

Coffee Chillout Place with Friends
Smile 2012-11-27

Pique Nique is a nice place for you to hangout with your friends and have a cuppa with a slice of their cakes. We had a slice of chocolate marshmallow cake (can't remember the exact name) and a red velvet cupcake! THUMBS UP for the red velvet cupcake!!! We decided to go for their red velvet cupcake ($4.90++) instead of red velvet cake ($7.90++) as we did not know if it will taste good, taking the price into consideration. It turned out that the red velvet cupcake was surprisingly good! The cream cheese on top was pleasantly tasty! The chocolate marshmallow cake's texture was just great.

Check out their teatime promotion if you are want to try out their cakes and drinks. Much cheaper smile

tea at pique nique
Just OK 2012-07-27

staff was quick to serve when we first arrived.

because we only wanted a short meal, we didn't order main course but instead we ordered a smaller dish, cheese macaroni and also a slice of cake, whoopie pie as recommended by the staff.

I would say that the macaroni was not worth the money because it's just more of baking cheese and macaroni together. perhaps ordering the main course would be more satisfying and worth it. thankfully, whoopie pie was good though!

pique nique
Smile 2012-05-25

Tried out the food at pique nique. The food was not too bad, tasted quite good. Service was prompt as well. it is more of a western style of food, and there were quite a lot of food items on their menu as well. I think for their cakes and pastry items, the presention and colour looks even better than the cooked food item. But their cake was not too good. Looks pretty though. Their macroons tasted not too bad.
