mee hoon kuay with clams $4 or $4.50? - portion is very little but I love how the soup is flavourful and the chilli is spicy and yummy! Recently, somehow the chilli isn't as spicy as before though. The luncheon meat $3 and beancurd skin $1(?) are deep-fried and are crispy and yummy, especially the crispy beancurd although it may be a little oily. Overall, it's a satisfying meal

Popular for their Home Made Noodles, it is usually crowded during the lunch hours. They have different types of Ban Mian to choose from, such as the sliced fish, pork meat, prawn or the abalone clams. Their noodles taste good with the chilli (spicy hot).

Headed to city plaza for some shopping and decided to try this ban mian at the food court as i always heard about how good it is. When we reached the food court, the first thing that I saw is those mini cockroach on eating table. I gotta say i have some expectation for this ban mian and it really disappoint me. The noodles were hard and not chewy. Only a few pieces of "bao bei" (mini abalone) is given. The entire bowl is mainly made up of hard noodles and a lot of vegetable. The only good thing

The broth is very tasty and is served with wolfberry leaves which I don't see it in other stalls.
Don't forget about the spicy chilli that they have. Is literally fire-burning and if you could purchase the chilli over at the counter which cost about $3.00.

It was my first time going City Plaza last night. We went there to hunt for Chinese New Year clothes. There was the only hawker centre at 4th floor. Take around half-an-hour for a bowl of Ban Mian. I ordered Dory Fish Ban Mian. Not bad, the soup was just nice. Noodle was tender and the fish was fresh. Price was fair, $3.00 per bowl. Yet, the portion might not be enough for big-eater.

They offer a wide variety of noodles ranging from Ban Mee, You Mian, Mee Sua, Bee Hoon to Bean Flour Noodle.

After you have ordered, a bright red number tag will be given to you. All you have to do next is to find a table, display the tag clearly and wait for your bowl of noodles.

The Abalone Clam Hand Made Yu Mee comes in either $4 or $5. In the $5 version you can either ask for more ingredients or more Yu Mee (You Mian). In my case, I choose the $5 version and asked for more Yu Mee.

The last time I had a meal in this stall was in 2008. Everything looks the same except that the price has increased.

Inside the piping hot bowl of Abalone Clam Hand Made Yu Mee, there were abalone clams, vegetable, minced meat, sliced mushrooms was topped with ikan bilis. The stall used New Moon Razor Clams for its Abalone Clam Hand Made Yu Mee, 3 pieces were given.

The hand made noodles made themselves was soft and tasty. In addition, the broth was robust and tasty. I drank practically all of it. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients (meat, vegetable, ikan bilis) given. A very generous amount of vegetable was given, much more than other hand made noodles stalls. The noodles given was alot too, almost 50% more than other stalls. The only down side I would say is the mushroom. This sounds weird coming from a mushroom lover. Well..the reason is because the dried mushroom was hard and salty.

The freshly made thick chilli paste was very spicy yet addictive. I like to dip the minced meat or eat the paste without anything. Despite the spiciness (my mouth was literally burning), I could not stop eating this!

This has got to be one of the best (if not better) home made noodles stall in Singapore. I enjoyed the meal and the price tag of $5 is certainly worthwhile. I wish that I am located nearby and can come by daily for lunch.

Had this lovely bowl of dry you mian. It is quite a hidden gem, didnt know such a yummy hand made noodles exist. Of course it is nowhere near as good as the whampoa ban bian, but well, beggers cant be choosers. The sauce is good, abit too sweet, probably she added in too much sauce, the chili which is free-flow, available for you to get as much as you wan, is wonderful. Spicy and fragrant! So i guess if you cant get your mouth on the whampoa banbian, this serves to be quite a good alternative.

I stumbled upon Poon Nah City Home Made Noodle inside a coffee shop on the 5th storey of City Plaza. Surprised to see many people ordering from this stall when I didn't even know that this coffee shop exists, I couldn't resist but try it myself. This is quite a popular stall as i have heard my friends telling me about it. Went to try it out today finally and ordered their seafood you mian. It came with two prawns and i love the soup as it is really nice and flavouring. There were also a lot of vegetables given as well. But i feel that the noodles portion is kind of little actually as i was not really full after eating it. Do pair it with their chilli as it complements the you mian very well.

I ordered ban mian take-away from Poon Nah City (Ban Mian) located at Katong City Plaza. It costs $3.30 for the meal inclusive of the container charges. The soup tasted great as there was much flavouring without being salty. The noodles were tangy and I enjoy chewing them. The ingredients were generous as there were a lot of pork and egg.
