Specially visited Junction 10 to dine at Porn's because I really like the ambience I get everytime I passes by this place. Besides, I really wanted to satisfy my Thai food craving as well.Ordered their Young Thai Coconut ($4) to have a taste of Thai. One of them was awesome with fresh soft coconut flesh while another was still unriped and hard. Was kind of disappointed but still have high hopes for the food! So since I'm a really hardcore fan of all kinds of curries, I couldn't say no to getting their Thai Green Curry ($10.90). The balance of sweet and hint of spicy is just right and it also comes with good chunks of tender chicken meat, lovely eggplant and basil leaves. And here is how good it looks on my Thai Jasmine Rice ($1). My eating buddy can't really take spicy food and he decides to go for Pad Thai ($9.90), which is a popular noodle dish in Thailand where you can top with squeezed lime, fish sauce, ground peanuts and sugar. It was not bad but not the best he had tried. Despite anything, we had to get some sides because there's this dish called the Stuffed Chicken Wing ($8.90) which really attracted my attention. The wings are basically de-boned and then generously stuffed with fillings of chicken, black fungus and vegetables. In my opinion, maybe it could need some more seasonings but they were cooked nicely otherwise, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Towards the end of the meal, we figured we wanted to try some desserts too! So we went ahead to get some Sticky Rice with Durian ($8.90). Although appearance-wise, it may not look that awesome but the durian were really good and the sticky rice was served warm too.Overall, it was a great experience with quite affordable food considering that portion amount of food. Definitely worthed the try! continue reading

After a bad experience at Porn's Bugis branch, I told myself never to return. But I was craving for Thai food and hence decided to give Porn's another chance. This time, it was much better. I ordered the Olive Fried Rice. The rice was extremely fragrant with sufficient wok hei. The 'pork floss' was also excellent with it being airy and slightly crunchy. I also liked the peanuts. I will be back at this branch to try the other dishes! continue reading

This was my first time visiting Junction 10 and the only restaurant that I wanted to try was the Porn restaurant. I went with my friends and we ordered quite a number of dishes. I really like the decor and ambience of the Porn's restaurant at Junction 10. They have this very funky and cool design. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all probably cause of the location but yet it was cosy. We couldn't decided what to order from the menu, there were so many choices. In the end we ordered the fried rice dishes, Phad Thai, green curry and the famous clear Tom Yum soup. All the dishes were alright. I didn't particularly like the green curry though. There was this very distinct strong lemon grass taste if I am not wrong. Other than that the Tom Yum soup was super spicy but it was so good. Glad that it was served over the steamboat pot so that it was hot. Overall, I enjoyed my food there and will visit it again. continue reading

Hearing many reviews about this restaurant, i decided to drop by for dinner after work. I ordered pineapple rice and the interesting stuffed chicken wings that i had never came across. The food was served quite fast. However, i was surprised when the pineapple rice appeared messily scattered and was quite little despite its high price of $10.90++. Nevertheless, i proceed to dig in here comes my bad experience- the fried rice was super oily! The wetness of the rice was from all the oil it is drenched in. The only saving point is the sweet pineapples and raisin which makes it less sickening. Next, the deep-fried chicken wings, coated with a thin layer of batter, was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really feel amaze and applaude the chef for pain-stakingly removing the bones without harming the skin and stuffing it with their own minced chicken mix. However, it was really tasteless on its own. Maybe that is why they give a side of thai chilli as their dip? To me, $8.90++ for 3 tasteless chicken wing that require shelf-off sauce for taste is really overly priced despite the tedious work behind it.Total damaged is $21.80 after gst and service charge. Overall, i am really very disappointed with the food and will not consider patronising it again. continue reading

Tried both the normal and coconut version of Tom yum soup, exceptionally tasty, it was very very spicy for me tho. Was told that they cooked each portion of Tom yum soup individually, hence we are able to choose the level of spicyness. For those who can't really take spicy food like me, please order the mild version. Also tried fried prawn cake and stuffed chicken wings, can't stop after one! continue reading
