Located near the famous Punggol Nasi Lemak place and yet still able to have a thriving business would really tell you a lot about the food that this place is selling and how much it attract the patrons to come back again and again to satisfy their taste buds. Currently, they have 2 stalls situated along the same street. One which is an indoor location situated near Domino Pizza while the other one is an outdoor location as mentioned above, next to the Punggol Nasi Lemak in a co...

Yi Restaurant 奇味鸡煲 is an "accidental" find when I went for food tasting at Domino's Pizza. The two eateries are next to each other. When it comes to food, both my hubby and I are "adventurous". We believe in trying new things instead of patronising the same place for comfortable familiarity and "safe" food. We dashed into Yi Restaurant not knowing what to expect, just got an rough idea from the signboard that we would be having chicken in claypot. I gotta use the w...

Went to this place eat several times and brought a lot of my friends to eat. It's a little like steamboat and you can put ingredients in it. You can choose the ingredients from their fridge and they count the price through plate by plate. You only can order half chicken or whole but no less then half. They have different level of spice taste. I always order medium spice. If those who are scared of the spiciness you can order the least spicy which is not bad also.

Visited this new place at Upper Serangoon Road with my family and it was quite special! We ordered the special qi wei ji bao as shown in the picture with a full chicken inside! You can take side plates with vegetables or noodles based on your preference at $3.30 each to put inside the hot pot. The drinks though costs a little expensive at $1.70/can (if I'm not wrong). Place was a little hot and there's no aircon.

There is always a long queue for this hotpot store, which is located along Upp Serangoon Road right beside Dominoes. We've been there twice, but always fail to try their spicy soup beer duck stew. sad We've arrived past 7PM on both nights, only to find out that they're sold out on that. http://static3.sg.orstatic.com/UserPhoto/photopending/0/EZ/002YHRBFC4E9632486EBC7c.jpg So we always get their signature chicken claypot ($22.90). This is m...

Spotted this stall by chance when we were there for Nasi Lemak and decided to come back to try.Basically you order your choice of claypot and add on ingredients. Step 1:We had the chicken claypot (1/2) chicken. Step 2:Choose from the selection from the fridge, prices vary according to the colour of the plate. The soup base is black in colour and smell of sesame oil - it is very tonic! The taste is rather special and it is not the ordinary steamboat. P.S. not ever...
