Was feeling hungry but sick of Prata so decided to try their fried seafood beehoon . Ask for kicap version (black sauce) but noodles seem lighter in colour. Ate anyway. The dish was tasty. Generous amount of noodles and seafood- which was surprising. Usually stalls or restaurants will gv 1 prawns and very few slides of sotong but here I've abt 3-4 medium prawns and some sotong slices and fishcake. Didn't ask for fried sunny side up egg but was given. Then asked for bill and the dish alone was $6.40 (including gst). Abit pricey for a mama coffeeshop I feel. continue reading

Was very hungry after swimming and this was the nearest to me (beside Chomp Chomp which was the next available option ), i decided to go for roti prata since it wasn't too crowded. Sat down immediately and placed my order for 1 teh tarik, 2 roti prata ( 1 plain and 1 cheese ) plus mutton curry. Teh Tarik : Right temperature with the right balance of taste! Mutton Curry : Gravy is not too bad but i prefer it to be thicker kind of texture. Mutton is a bit tough.Roti Prata : The first piece of plain one was really good. Very crispy texture and i thought it was pan fried to perfection. I like it so much that i've ordered another piece but second piece was disappointing. Cold and soggy! Cheese one was so so. Maybe i didn't eat it while it's still hot. Better to stick to my usual egg prata.Total cost : $9Don't think i be back anytime soon. Can go for other options within the same area. continue reading

Roti prata is one of the choice for me when it comes to breakfast since young. I love the crispiness of the prata crust and the one at RK Eating House does not disappoint. Has been visiting this prata house for many years and their standard still remains the same (don't know about other food cos I only ordered prata...) Ordered my usual egg prata for breakfast and true enough the crust is crispy and hot from stove. The egg in the prata is spreaded evenly, thus you get to taste the egg for every bite of the prata. The curry sauce to dip the prata is tasty too, not too spicy but really shiok! continue reading

Ordered myself 2 egg prata for supper. Their prata is not oily and the egg is not overcooked. The curry to dip the prata is quite diluted, if it's thicker it will be much better. Nothing much special about the prata though. Also ordered a plate of maggie goreng in pattaya style. A disaster dish I must say. The omelet which wrapped the maggie mee has a very strong chao-tah (burnt) smell. The maggie goreng is very oily and to the extend I feel that it was being soaked in oil... definitely not recommended. continue reading

I was introduced by my friends to RK Eating House. We went for supper by cab to this place and it is like a coffee shop. And we ordered plenty of roti prata with milk tea to come along with when eating. The prata they have is less oily and compared to other and it is so crispy on the outside! It is very tasty and yummy! The sauce by the side- curry is very thick and tasted good when dipped with roti prata! (: Awesome continue reading
