I was really very lucky to win the Rang Mahal Pavilion NDP Facebook Contest where in I won a Special Set Meal for two at their restaurant. So yesterday being a public holiday we headed over to Sentosa for an outing then later made our way to Rang Mahal for lunch. It is a nice and posh restaurant with an amazing decor and ambiance. When we arrived we were taken to our reserved table and after we had made ourselves comfortable the waiter handed us the menu and we selected 2 cokes. Our food was bought to us soon, 1 Veg Special Set Meal and 1 Non Veg Special Set Meal. Starting with the Soup of the day and papad. The soup tasted really yummy and was nice and piping hot and the papad was good too. Then came the starter the Veg starter consisted of paneer and stuffed tomato while the non veg consisted of Chicken and fish. Loved the taste of it and more over it was nicely presented. We enjoyed it along with some chutney and pickle. Then came the main course with Veg consisting of Dal Makhani, Ladyfinger vegetable and Special Brinjal and the non veg had Chicken, Ladyfingers vegatable and Dal Makhani. Plus 2 Garlic naans and 2 Rotis along with plates of Special pulav with salad. The food was really excellent and no words can describe it. You really need to taste it to believe it. After we had eaten we were served chilled Mango Kulfi with a candy on it which the kids picked up at once. The mango kulfi here is nicely prepared and has a dash of cardamon and saffron in it. Lastly, we were served masala tea which really made our day. Rang Mahal Rocks! We had an amazing dinning experience with them! continue reading

Visted Rang Mahal Pavilion for a mother's day dinner. Had their dinner set meal and it was fairly priced for a fine dining restaurant. The ambience was great, cozy and not very bright. The first course of the set meal was a piece of fish, prawn and chicken. I was wow-ed by the taste instantly. Everything was just right. Then came a vegetable soup, which was alright, since vegetable wasn't really my cup of tea.The main course comprises of 3 different curry, served with rice, and some bread. The portion was generous and the taste is unlike the usual curry that we had before, but it was a taste that we enjoyed.Lastly, there was an ice cream to finish the meal, and it was perfect all the way to the last bit.Service was fantastic with the service crew explaining in detail of the food, and they were very attentive. If you have some extra cash for some fine dining, this is one place you might want to consider. continue reading
