RedDot BrewHouse sits in a distinctive historical spot at Dempsey Hill, a dilapidated barracks restored to the beauty it is today. A second outlet opened at Boat Quay in 2010, also situated in a beautiful historical building. Atmosphere is chilled, relaxing and yet beautiful artistic pieces adorn the various corners of the restaurant / bar. A live band plays in the evenings as well. As for service, it could get a little slow and servers are not too attentive. We came here especially for the famous Monster Green Lager Beer - made up of green spirulina, which consists of lots of health benefits such as boosting of immunity system and regression / elimination of AIDs virus. Unlike the usual beer, this one was very low on fizziness; it was very smooth to ingest, like liquid silk, and was sweet in flavour. I found this absolutely tasty and beautiful. The Crispy Baby Squids (SGD$12.00) were not your typical calamari - they were whole baby squids deep-fried to a golden brown with crackling texture, like the ones you get at Chinese seafood restaurants. Battering, if any - was ultra light. These were addictive so we ordered two servings of them. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2016/01/chilling-out-at-reddot-brewhouse.html continue reading

See my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2015/09/12/nice-lunch-reddot-brewhouse-dempsey-on-9sep2015/reddot brewhouse @ dempsey offers good value set lunch in a nice ambience & also free parking. i had a few lunches there previously including the one here. 3 of us went there for lunch again on 9.9.2015. ^^ the 2-course set lunch + drink had gone up to S$20 from S$18 previously (S$24 for 3-course from S$22 previously). i had the reddot salad – great salad! & a good helping. 1 friend had the smoked salmon salad. very good too. & he had the seafood marinara spaghetti. it was good too & a good lunch choice at this price. i wanted to try the salmon. it came with truffle cold capellini, very sweet vine tomatoes & mesclun. cold capellini was very nice & fragrant. the salmon was excellent! the special for main course today was pan-fried seabass. my friend said it was great and the plating was quite impressive too. very pleasant place to have a relaxing lunch with old friends. continue reading

I have been to RedDot BrewHouse a few times and I have to admit that this place is a must-go. The beers are different from others like Tiger beer or Heineken Beer. I would recommend a beer (Monster Green). It is a kind of healthy beer that I ever drink unlike those Tiger Beers etc. The taste was smooth. It doesn't have those "gassy" feels. It is a must to try this beer. It is quite affordable too. continue reading

It is a nice place to hang out at dempsey.. located near the entrance. went there to chill out quite a few times. the food there is good and they have this unique beer, called Green monster as the beer is green in colour. Not much of a beer lover, but the green monster is not bad. at least not so bitter haha and it said to be good for health. so i guess reddot brewed it in its special way and using unique ingredients, for that I didnt go and ask. They have these rows of alcohol bottles being displayed, which I think is nice and I took photo of them continue reading

Red Dot brewhouse at Dempsey is an interesting place that it is both a dining and drinking places. Unfortunately we arrived just past 6pm and there was no longer happy hour, but beer prices are not as ridiculous as hotels, or the breweries along Singapore river. Can still get drunk on the cheap.Ambience: It's a single story colonial house, converted into an airy drink and dine place. Comfortable and quiet tables, easy free parking, nice decor all make for a great place to eat continue reading
