paper prata
Smile 2013-05-09

deliciously thin paper prata was served here that was covered in generous amounts of chocolate and strawberry fudge. Like how the prata is so thin and crispy with every bite and it is not a single bit oily. the prata house also serves up milky and nice teh tarik and milo dinosaur that is so chocolate-ty and delicious! Love the generoud toppings of milo powder that comes in the drink

Is this Prata??
Just OK 2013-05-08

Went to read review about the The Roti Prata House that their prata is crispy so we went for a try...

We order the plain, egg & chocolate Prata...

There's a sign that says 'Crispiest Roti Prata in Singapore' and I totally agree...Their prata was very nice, crispy & fragrant is totally like a Fried Prata...The curry gravy is very good as well but a bit diluted...

The place is crowded even on a weekday night so you could imagine the crowd in the weekend, Limited lot to park too...The service is prompt but the only thing is that you need to go to the counter to make payment...

I'm not sure The Pratas here is the one of the best in Singapore but can take it try if you haven't try it...

prata for supper
Smile 2013-04-20

Prata for supper is certainly a popular pastime for Singaporeans to get fat. They catch up over several slices of prata and a good cuppa of iced coffee or iced milk tea. I am no exception. This branch is always popular and serves up lots of pratas very fast. I ordered 3 slices of plain prata and it came out piping hot and crispy just like every prata should be. It seemed a little smaller than usual although there are obviously inconsistencies. But still recommended lol

one of the best pratas
Smile 2013-03-01

This has been coined the best crispy prata and recommended by The New Paper. Whoa! The pratas are really crispy, tastes uniquely different from the usual pratas sold everywhere. It's really hard to find good roti pratas nowadays, not even average tasting ones. Definitely one of best pratas I've ever tried! The teh ping was disappointing though. It was too sweet for my liking.

Prata Fantasy
Just OK 2013-02-19

The Food
I always ordered the plain prata instead of egg prata as can taste the original flavour of the prata
The prata is crispy and fluffy and literally dissolves in my mouth combined with the heavenly curry with the right level of spiciness.

The Service
As I went on weekend night hence is so crowded because normally weekend night will be crowded. Service is quite good also as the food are served promptly even with so many people

The Ambience
The shop is well ventilated and not so stuffy inside

The Price
Reasonably priced at $0.80 per piece

Overall
I will definitely come back again for late night supper with my friends and highly recommended to try this!

Roti Prata
Smile 2013-02-05

Delicious crispy pratas just hits the right spot with almost anybody. I love the pratas from the roti Prata house as they are really good either alone or with the curry. The mee goreng is also not bad just that the food tends to be abit oily.the meal goes well with the all so famous teh Tarik or with a cup is lime juice. The environment is good for quick meals and food comes fast.

Supper treat
Just OK 2013-01-28

Look no further than The Prata House if you're in Thomson and are looking for supper. This 24 hour eating house will satisfy your hunger pangs any time of the day. I would personally go for the Prata which is of course their main business but there are many other dishes like mee goreng, Indian Rojak and more. From savory to sweet, they have it all. I've yet to try their ice cream pratas but it looks promising.

My usual order would definitely include the plain Prata or kosong as the locals call it. It's smaller than the usual you get outside but it's a buttery crisp and denser as well. I would say it's a crunchy Prata. The curry is my favorite out of all the pratas that I've tasted in Singapore. It's thicker and savory, not as watered down or acidic like some. Order the papadums to go with it. Simply pick it up from the counter and then the servers will charge you when your meal is done. Free tissue paper is available at the counter too.

The standard varies at times but I could usually count on them to provide me with nice pratas.

Coins Prata... Have you tried one yet?
Smile 2013-01-23

Food
Not many prata shops in singapore do offered coin prata in their menu. I was searching high and low for good ones as well. This prata house is specialized in making prata as the shop name mentions. It is definitely worth your taste buds!

Coin prata with chicken gravy
These coin pratas are indeed very cute and filling, cripsy as well.
Served in a set with curry chicken. Curry is not as spicy as I thought. Big portion of chicken meat.

Service
Like other prata shop, you order and they will serve you. Once you are done with your food. You have to go to the counter to foot the bill.

Ambience
This prata house is big. Ample of seatings.

Price
Pricing is affordable and value for money.

Recommendation / Tips
(1) Try their coin prata!

curry blast :)
Smile 2012-08-10

This is called egg prata. Simple yet very tasty! The sauce is not very thick, it's enough for me to tear a small piece of prata then deep it into the bowl of curry and serve my self with it. For me I prefer to wash my hand very clean then use hand to eat instead. It's not because you can't use folk and knife but it's just because I like it better to use my hand. It feels better for mesmile
I like how they evenly distribute the egg inside the prata. Every bite I would has egg go with it.
I always order this with a cup of ice teh tarik. It tastes better.

Bon Appetite
Meg

The Roti Prata House
Smile 2012-08-04 (Related Review)

This is their milk prata! which costs $1+. Intially i thought it is fried with fresh milk and did not know that actually it is just plain prata with condensed milk on top. It was rather dissapointing as the staff should explain to me it should turn out like that. I just prefer their plain or added eggs prata! And the gravy they gave to dip is normal curry, not spicy type.

The Roti Prata House
Just OK 2012-08-04

The Roti Prata House at Upper Thomson Road is easily accessible because there is a bus stop that is right infront of the shop. It has been there for quite some time already and the whole street is now filled with yummy food! The prata they sells there have many varies from sweet to savoury type. I ordered plain, with egg, with egg and cheese, crispy type! They are all range at a average price! I liked it because you can come over for supper, it is still open!

The Roti Prata House Serve Crispy Prata
Smile 2012-07-31

Judging by the crowd, you know this Roti Prata House sure is famous for its Roti Prata. Scan around and you will spot a lot of youngsters that really travel all the way to have their craving fix at Roti Prata House that open till midnight.

There's a lot of choice to choose from.

The ordinary Roti Prata plain and with egg are satisfying enough.

If you are game for more, ham with cheese is one thumb up too!

All in all, any kind of Roti Prata is crispy and with the curry - PERFECT, the Singaporean choice

Roti Prata
Cries 2012-06-23

You can easily spot this place from its big yellow sign board stating that it is the best crispy prata recommended by The New Paper.

I ordered both the plain crispy prata and egg prata to try. Indeed the plain prata was crispy. However I did not enjoy it. If I am wrong it had a margarine taste which I do not like. The plain prata was also cold and hard. On the other hand, I enjoyed the egg prata as it was fresh, hot and fluffy.

Crispy Prata
Smile 2012-05-02

Looking for cheap and good prata and at the same time must be crispy too? The Roti Prata House will answer all your above question and fulfill your wishes immediately. Roti Prata here are really crispy and fluffy, only make upon your order to ensure the crispyness and freshness is always there. The chicken curry sauce provided for their prata is equally delicious as well, which is thick curry gravy and not too spicy. The indian spices used in making the curry gravy is really fragrant. The whole package taste awesome and moreover it is very affordable too.
