Super Soft Milk Buns!
Smile 2013-01-21
I love breads from Mugiya. These Japanese breads are really attractive and they always tempt me to buy them every time I walk pass the shop! I also came to know that these bread are made with extremely good quality ingredients with least artificial ingredients. So I often buy bread there now!

Bought 5 pieces of mini milk buns for only $2.80.
They look very soft to me so I bought them for breakfast in the morning.

Really love the bland and simple taste of the bun. With a little taste of milk, the super soft bun also melts a little in your mouth!!! tongue You can never get enough of these!!!
Bland but yummy. So sick and healthy people can eat them too!! lol

I also tried eating the buns with scrambled eggs and they tasted AWESOME!!!!

I cut little slits at the center of the buns and filled the slits with scrambled eggs.
They tasted really really delicious!!! No regrets buying it!!

Service was very good and the shop was very well organised. Breads and cakes were well displayed and attractive!!!

nice buns
Just OK 2012-10-01
there are nice buns here. not a lot to choose from, unlike at bread talk or crystal jade bread. rather expensive too. around $2.50 per bun. looks good and smells good. tasted good. but it was hollow inside. service was fast and efficient. they sell loaves too but nothing looked worth buying. this was a regular polo bun but it failed compared to crystal jade's.

Donut time
Smile 2012-06-25
I spotted a Mugiya outlet,at the end of the day, when they were closing & selling off their stuff for 1 $, I liked the donuts on display so i picked up 2 sugar donuts, but I was wondering it they would be fresh after such a long day, but to my surprise, they were fresh as ever. They were perfectly sweet, soft & spongy. They were well coated with sugar & actually melted in the mouth. I love the Mugiya donut smile.

Smile 2012-06-15
love this neat looking japanese bakery in Hougang mall.
besides the common swiss rolls and polo buns, they have interesting varieties such as green tea & durian bun
tried this plain-looking donuts which takes a combination of cake and bun.. Its lovely & goes well with yoghurt or ice cream
staff is friendly and helpful, and price is definitely reasonable & value of money

Oreo Chocolate
Smile 2012-06-15
The appearance of this Oreo chocolate bun may look 'quite ugly and unattractive', but the moment when you have your first bite on this, you will almost fall in love with this simple bun. It is filled with generous amount of oreo cream and the chocolate coating is very thick and tasty. The bun is soft and not too hard, just the right texture to go along with this simple bun. Taste great and affordable for everyone as well.

A Bakery Called Mugiya
Just OK 2012-04-27
At first glance, I thought that Mugiya would only serve Japanese buns and cakes.
However, upon tasting the buns I concluded otherwise.

There was a good mix of both cakes and buns, as well as sandwiches.
The Chicken sausage bun had been freshly baked and tasted good.
It wasn't anything different from other sausage buns.

As for the Tuna bun, it was quite different.
The Tuna bun was shaped like a flying saucer and was flat, rather than rounded
like a bun. Upon taking a bite, I realised that there was a lot of tuna filling inside the ''flat'' bun. It was, indeed, a different presentation altogether.

Overall, it was ok - the service was good and fast, but the prices were not as reasonable as one would have expected them to be.
Perhaps, next time, i will try the cakes.

My mum bought their panda cake for $4.50
Usually pandan cake come in round shape, but this is long rectangle shape,
Their pandan cake more harder compare to those traditional pandan cake
There's a mild pandan taste,but not very strong,cake abit hard & floury
For the price of $4.50 i don't think worth it
Overall i rate 5/10

Roti from Mugiya
Smile 2011-07-05
These are the bolo bun and Fuji cheese bread from Mugiya which is located at basement one of Hougang Mall. Their breads are suitable for the health conscious as they usually make use of lots of wheat and high fibre flour to bake their breads. My verdict: 7/10 for their taste and nice presentation. Do check it out if you happen to pass by Hougang Mall! smile
