Japan Boat Takoyaki

This stall is located just adjacent to KOI cafe. Since the queue was kind of long, I bought a box of 3 takoyaki to try. I was feeling a bit regret when I saw the staff frying the takoyaki in the pan mold filled with oil. I was taken back by how much oil he was using. Not sure whether this is their unique way of preparing the takoyaki but it turned out to be quite nice and not as oily. In fact, it gave the takoyaki a better texture.

Where's The Boat

It is called Japan Boat, but instead of the boat, it become the container which I found it not environment friendly.There aren't any choice of ingredient, it appear to be only one choice which is the octopus ball that comes in spicy or non-spicy.I had the spicy one which is a little out of the norm. Not really that special after all, the outer layer is hard - I suppose it was kept too long on the pan.Not really impressive...

The first thing that caught my eye was this stall’s packaging. It’s really shaped like a boat man! The service by the crew whom are from china is quite good. When I was sitting down at chair, the table top was cleared within 5 minutes. The china guy who passed me my tako yaki was also polite and cheerful too, quite a rare sight for a middle aged man. The tako yaki tasted just okay, nothing very special but it sure looks good.

Japan boat tako yaki is a different kind of tako compared to the ones we normally see. Instead of the soft outside, The octopus ball is lightly fried instead. Hence giving a crispy outer shell with a small layer of fluffy insides. Not too bad. But I prefer the normal fluffy outsides instead

I bought an voucher of DELICIOUS FRESH OCTOPUS BALLS! & 1 CAN of drinks at $1.80 ONLY! So I went to try this Tako which is one of Singapore's favorite snack from Japan.The stall is quite packed with customers esp during dinner time. so they will ask for our name and mark down to note.

It's takoyaki..!!Quite lots of people queing there.Why i suddenly go there,because i bought the voucher from deals.Before discount,3takoyaki + 1 canned drink cost $3.5.But ,my voucher only costs $1.8.Almost half of it.So cute,the takoyaki is put in the "Boat"..!!As same as the shop name.They just freshly make..!Spicy takoyaki.I like the combination of the flour,tako,mayo,bonita flake and the spicy sauce.When i ate it,i feel like i taste the spicy sauce before,but i forget what is it.The sauce an

 Spicy takoyaki.
I like the combination of the flour,tako,mayo,bonita flake and the spicy sauce.
When i ate it,i feel like i taste the spicy sauce before,but i forget what is it.

The sauce and bonita is nice.But the amount of flour is quite much.
So will feel abit tasteless.
But i also like the smoked taste on the outer part.

 This wasabi flavoured is recommended by the shop.
It's really special,like we are eating sushi.The wasabi is not so choky,so people who can't stand with spicy can try on it.
Same as spicy one,the amount of flour is too much.

You wouldnt miss this out from the long queue sight from it's neighbour - Koi Cafe.They work pretty well in their presentation and concept.I tried their spicy tako with wasabi sauce. Takoyaki are done nicely with a little char and extra crispyness. Not too bad as compared to the Takopachi at bugis basement. Added with the wasabi sauce (in fact it's wasabi mayo), it added more japanese feel to the entire dish.Pricing wise might be a little pricer but I think it's still within the acceptable range
