I happened to be in Bugis area (Liang Seah Street to be exact) and my fren recommended this Thai resturant to me. In case you are not aware, this is opened by a TCS Host aka Pornsak. Beside to satisfy my idol chasing crave, I thought, why not Thai food for a change? KekeIt's rather a small place and easily filled up with hungry diners during the lunch hours. Porn's is a restaurant opened by artiste Pornsak was well decorated and offer wide range of Thai foods .We ordered the Phad Thai and mango sticky rice. The Phad Thai I liked the noodles cos it was soft and a generous serving of ingredients. The mango sticky rice was sticky and sweet that once eat you will continuous eating til finished.

 We ended off our dinner with a traditional Thai dessert, the Mango sticky rice! The mangoes were fresh and I love the pairing of savoury coconut milk and sweet sticky rice! Overall, great food, ambience and company!

 We ordered Tom Yum Soup ( thick base ) , Fried chicken and kang kong. All of them are pretty average, nothing to be fantastic about. The tom yum soup is a bit too spicy in my opinion, other than that it is good. The kang kong isn't very tasty like those i had in nakhon kitchen. But I'm not really sure that ingredient it lack off too. Fried chicken can be more well marinated.

The total bill come up to around $30 for 2pax, which i think is still quite affordable.

Overall, I may be back in future to try other dishes.

The FoodI ordered their specialties which are Pineapple Fried Rice and Green Curry.I felt that the Pineapple Fried rice was a little dry but the prawns are fresh and tasty.As for the green curry, the flavour was awesome and full of taste.  The texture of the chicken slices was succulent and tender. However, the slices of the egg plant were quite tough and will be great if cooked longer. Overall, this Thai green curry is just nice for those who can't take food which are too spicy.


I'll be looking forward to try other authentic Thai dishes if I ever visit Porn's again.

I just came back from my dinner at Liang Seah Street! Awesome pineapple rice! I would like to have more if possible! The portion is really quite small and charged the price $9.90 without GST and service charges. I particular like the cashew nuts added to the dish, when it is mixed with the rice, it taste so crunchy! The pork floss at the side improve the saltiness of the dish. Another thing is the prawn, it is so big and fresh. Definitely worth the price!

Compared to Ah Loy Thai and Nakhon Kitchen, Porn's pales in comparison, be it the food or the price. I popped by during lunch as I was planning to have Ah Chew for desserts, and had their tom yum soup; soup wasn't too spicy, just alright for me, and the amount of ingredients was also proportionate. Forgettable though.

This place has star power (google and you will know why). But the food unfortunately lacked the same star power. I tried the kang kong and found the balachan rather bland without the necessary wok hei for a flavorful plate. The tom yum soup could be done spicier with more generous ingredients. I only had like one small miserly prawn My rice was rather miserly. There was less than a bowl full and I asked them whether that was it and the servers just shrugged.

Having been here once and tried the tom yum soup, kangkong etc, when it first opened, wasn't very impressed as there was nothing special, especially considering that the prices are not that cheap compared to other thai food places. Passed by an decided to pop in for their set lunch, which comes with a main dish and a drink. I chose the fried chicken and although very tasty, the whole meal was quite bland with only few slices of fried egg and some veggies.

Looks like some herbal chicken soup, no? It doesn't look spicy at all, right? Don't judge a soup by its colour! Those with a low tolerance for spicy food will definitely miss out on this awesome soup. This soup is a flavour burst! Sour when you first taste it, sweet after the sourness subsides, then the spicy-ness kicks in.

 Green Curry with Chicken (Gang Kaew Gai) - $10.90 (5/5)

The tender slices of chicken that came with it were succulent and the brinjal seems to have absorbed the sweetness of the curry and were very soft and juicy. The curry was quite thick, but as the dish got colder, it got a wee bit watery. No issues there though, still as delicious, especially when paired with rice.

Despite the fact that the restaurant was almost full, and there were only 3 waiters, the service was very prompt and our food arrived in less than 20 minutes from the time we ordered. Porn's is definitely worth the try!
