I love chicken
Smile 2012-07-26

Heard good reviews about this place, so here I am to try it out. I like the concept, pay a price and you can pile as much food as you want on a plate. I chose a quarter chicken, the dark side. It was crispy and tender at the same time. Pretty well marinated too. But unfortunately it was not warm enough, wish they had it warm up before serving it.
For the rest of the sides, well you could pile as much as you want, as long as you can finish it. So anyway here is what i pile on my plate. Despite the quantity, i think it is quite a nutritious meal

awesome salad bar
Smile 2012-05-20

Decided to have something healthy for dinner so tried this salad bar at basement of Cineleisure.
the spread really looks appetising. found out that a spring chicken set comes with salad bar buffet which is more value for money hence decided to go for the spring chicken as well.
My friend ordered their dory fish

food - surprisingly of quality given the price range
salad - look how much we managed to pile up in a plate. love the mushrooms and pumkin
spring chicken - tender, great sauce, wedges & onion rings are crunchy without being soggy

LOVE IT!

service: self service but staff are friendly
ambience : clean & neat , need to chop places since it can get crowded during diiner

Be pocket happy @ Javier's!
Smile 2012-05-18

   Finish that!

This is my 3rd or 4th time visiting Javier's and probably coming back for more.

Their signature fill the plate for $8.90 nett is what keeps me coming. If you're an average eater, 3 person can easy share one plate full and still have balance. Work that out, and each person pays about $3. Where else can you eat till you're bloated, and only pay $3 in orchard road?

Unless Swensen's salad buffet, the selection here has strictly no meat. What you see are individual food, such as corn, vegetables, potato salad, pasta, potato wedges, and CHEEZE POWDER! Best of all, it comes with a soup (soup has chicken in it).

For the taste I would say it's good. The salad is fresh and the fried stuff isn't soggy. Potato salad is a must try for those who love this dish, because it's one of the best in town, comparable with pasta mania's.

During this visit, I went with a vegan and we have a great time sharing this plate of food. Total bill adds up to less than $20 with drinks, and it's a real great deal.

Salad Bar
Smile 2012-05-07

Really like to concept of this restaurant where by you can order any main course of your choice and you can pick whatever you want from their salad bar for one time. The salad choices available on the salad bar is really interesting and looks very fresh and delicious. Normally I will pick a lot of green salads with the sweet corns, sliced tomatoes and some raisins and have some thousand island sauce pour on to it . The taste is really good and refreshing. I can also make my salad like a huge tall mountain according to what I like and want. Really a fun place for me and I recommend this place for friends' gathering.

Dinner before dance practice
Smile 2012-03-29

My best friend and I had dance practice near Cineleisure that evening hence we decided on Javier's since we are able to decide how much we want to eat in just one plate. Salad buffet for one at 9 bucks. Salad buffet would include mashed potato, varieties of raw and cooked vegetables, soup, potato wedges, onion rings, garlic bread and fruits. Go early to have seats chopped, especially on weekends, the mini restaurant would be packed with people.

Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar
Smile 2012-03-29 (Related Review)

Called for beef and add on plus a drink of sprite which is $20.30!
Which means they give you the beef, any there is 2 different type of sauce to choose from,
and you can add all you want !

Overall is nice, and i liked the mushroom, hashbrown and their fruits!
The beef is average only, a little bit hard and the quality is not really there so didnt finish them. And they do not charge for left-over food anyway (:

Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar
Smile 2012-03-07

You can choose to have 1/4 Chicken, 1/2 Chicken, Full Chicken and add on for the ingredient that is available here.

There are different type of vegetables, carrots, sauce, salads, fruits.
For fried, there are Hash browns, Potato Wedges, Onion Rings.
There are also Mash Potato, Button Mushrooms, Garlic Bread...

It means that when you order the size of chicken you want and plus add-on, you can take as many ingredient as you want that is found there. And the cashier will only charge the standard amount and not how much food you took!

So simply, this is something like a one-type buffet, you can take as many food as you want and you pay for the plate size (!)

I went with my 2 girlfriends and couldn't complete it anyway! so if you're a big eater, perhaps you can finish up by yourself, take up the challenge! lol

Total Bill was $20+ including a cup of Ice Lemon Tea.

DINNER
Just OK 2012-02-12

This is a memorable dining for me because I have never tried this kinda restuarant setting before.

Javiers Salad BAR! They have a variety of food. They served cold and hot side dishes ranging from salad, onion rings, coleslaw, wedges, fried rice, pasta, mushrooms, soup, chowders and alot more.
Eat ALL you can. Fill up your plate with the food you want and the portion you can eat. One plate for $8.90. If you order a main dish like chicken chop for $8.90 add another $3.90 for the salad bar to fill your plate! The portion me and my friend took was nothing compared to what others take. Go there and have FUN filling up your plate! smile

All you can pile up on one plate for $8.90
Smile 2011-12-18

For $8.90, you get access to the salad bar that lets you pile all you can on a 30 cm plate. There are about 30 options ranging from salads, mashed potatoes, onion rings, wedges to coleslaw and corn. It even comes with a bowl of soup, also all-you-can-fill. Just as I thought there was no more food to be piled onto the plate without it toppling over, I turn around and see a bunch of boys with a huge food pyramid. Interesting.

They also allow for access to the salad bar for an additional $3.90 with every main course ordered. I tried the roasted half-chicken but it wasn't very impressive.

It makes for a really affordable meal if a group of 2 or 3 share this platter.

Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar
Just OK 2011-10-06

headed to Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar for a great lunch out! Got the 1/4 chicken which was simply awesome. It was very nicely grilled and was not too dry nor overtly oily. Definitely tender and juicy as well! lol we also got the ribs! However, the sauce for the ribs was slightly overwhelming, such that it covered the taste of the smoked ribs. Could do better with a little less sauce. Overall, it was still a yummy lunch!

Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar
Smile 2011-09-20

On 3rd Sept 2011, together with my boyfriend we decided to catch a movie for entertainment. Apart from that, we have planned to settle our dinner at BBQ chicken resturant which was located at Basement 1 of Cineleisure. However, what startled us was the 'BBQ Chicken resturant' had no longer been there already. sad It replaced with 'Javier's Rotisserie & Salad Bar'.

I can say that the staffs were friendly when they are giving flyers to promote their resturant. Out of curiosity, we took a closer look at their menu. It was a buffet style where you can choose the main dish (Chicken, Pork, Beef) and you can take much side dish as you want for ONE TIME. There are varieties of fruits, fried snacks, vegetables and soup as well.

   Salad Bar

   Boyfriend's Food

   MINE :D

If your stomach cannot fill up too much food, I would suggest that you share with one of your friend's and just take one plate will do.Overall, it is worth trying. Come on! Go try this buffet style and grab as much as you could like a mountain lol ENJOY!

Salad Bar Day !
Smile 2011-09-12

Take as much as you can xD

My friend had brought me to this place called, Javier's Rotisserie Salad Bar.

At first, i thought the food they providing is just only salads. Little did i know, it was not all just vegetables, they also have many other variety like potato wedges, bread, fruits etc.

What i did not expect it was that, no matter how much food you have taken, it just cost $8.90 !!!!! It is extremely cheap isn't it ?!

For me, I adore their corn and mashed potato(with gravy) the most !!!

Can't believe that the food is so awesome and cheap ! I will definitely introduce my friends to go there and have a try of it the next time !

a worth it meal
Smile 2011-08-08

My son brought me to javier’s for dinner. It was very filling. They have this fil-a-plate salad where you can pile up your plate with all the side dish available at their counter. There were two main types of side dishes, the hot and the cold. The cold dishes comprises of the salads and fruits while the hot dishes comprises of the mashed potatoes and pastas. It was very worth it, $8.90 and it will filled you up!

Javier's
Smile 2011-07-31

We spotted a three-meter-long salad bar. The manager led from the front, welcoming us and providing a brief summary of the food they are selling. Basically, the deal is, you order a meat main, and you are able to fill up the rest of your plate with as much salad as you can handle. You can just have salad too. We settled on a half chicken with 2 sides which are wedges and olive rice that costs $14.90. As we tucked into our succulent black pepper sauce roast chicken with meat that peeled smoothly off the bone, we almost felt like we were in an American diner. Javier’s is 100 percent casual, but with top-notch service and excellent food (price and location considered) it proves that casual can trump up-market.
