mee goreng :)

The mee goreng here is probably one of the best I've had. I even dare say its better then the ones over at newton food center which I found to be extremely overpriced. The mee goreng is made fresh (egg/eggless/vegetarian options are also available for customers). It does not taste too oily and does not lack flavor. However, it seems to be pretty spicy which is a bonus for me. The stallholder was generous with the ingredients hence it tasted anything but plain. This is a perfect place to come for late night dinners.

A singapore Favorite
Just OK 2012-03-13

Mee Goreng is a popular dish in the asian community. In particular, Singapore. I have encounted many bad encounters with vegetarian versions of mee goreng but I was glad to find this gem. Despite my request for the vegetarian option, I was happy to find that the mee goreng had sufficient ingredients from leafy vegetables, bean sprouts, cabbage, tofu, potatoes and onions. It was stir fried yet not overly oily. It was also cooked on the spot which made ensures freshness. I like how the mee goreng has a wok hei flavor to it.

foodcourt style: cheap & good
Smile 2012-02-08

Maxwell Masala serves pretty decent indian food at affordable prices. These include the normal rice or biryani rice, side dishes, roti prata, mee goreng as well as nasi goreng. I have tried their rice dish as well as mee goreng and was quite impressed. Definitely tastes pretty good for a food court standard.

This time round, I decided to order nasi biryani with side dishes such as potato, spinach and ladies finger. The meal also included a cracker as well as dahl (which is a type of lentil gravy). The rice was served hot and was very fragrant. The spinach was well cooked and hardly even spicy. The ladies finger dish on the other hand, I found a few pieces slightly undercooked. However, my favorite side had to be the potatoes! They were not only spicy was extremely tender as well.

Overall, the food here is 7/10 and it does not leave a hole in your pocket smile
