daily scoop is a really nice, chill, quaint place great for hanging out and relaxing over a nice bowl of ice ceam. The flavors available here are really unique and delicious. I especially love the cha earl grey ice cream. it tastes like the teh tarik we drink at coffee shops just that this is in an ice cream form. It really helps to quench the thirst. Chocolate is really good too as real chocolate bits can be found inside. However flavors change and not on every visit would the earl grey flavour be available.

Ice Cream!
Smile 2013-05-02

Although I have lived in the western part of singapore throughout my life, I just came to realize there is actually such a peaceful and quiet place like Clementi Arcade where The Daily Scoop (TDS) are located. If not for my friend's recommendation of good ice-cream I will never come across this place.

TDS Interior decorations on the walls are so eye catching as they are illustrated by cute cartoons. With such great ambiance, no wonder kids and adults were all so attracted it. Despite of the far distance away from MRT station, there are still alot of Ice Cream Go-ers in the shop. The turn over of customers are fast and never-ending. I will recommend this place for a good hangout!

Maple Crisp & Simply Chocolate
I would say both scoops are sinfully rich in flavours! Creamy and good tasting. Awesome chocolate taste! Maple that is filled with chopped almond nuts, the first bite has filled your mouth the sweet maple syrup and subsequently, the crunch of the nuts had given a different texture.

Thai Chai & Avcado
Thai Chai is actually Thai milk tea. This ice cream had given off a light fragrance and thai s whereas avocado had given a big hint of gula melaka flavour, rich and creamy.

Costs: S$5.90 per 2 scoops

The cons of the ice creams is that they tends to melt faster than I expected.
The Pros of TDS are aplenty - given that the service is patient and generous. Customers are allowed to self help with free flow of tissues and ice water at the little counter. Besides that we can see that the workers had used the unique hand-churning method on spot which results in their creamy and rich ice cream.

Overall the ice creams had given a good mouth feeling and a matching standard to most of the well-liked ice cream parlors in Singapore like Udder, Tom's palette etc.

TDS do offer delivery service to your doorsteps, do try out the exotic flavors from them! A definite must try!

Dessert
Just OK 2013-04-18

Ordered the waffle set with cookie monster ice cream.

Somehow, i felt that the waffle was not sweet and crispy enough.

The ice cream wasn't sweet as compared to when i ordered it ala carte.

Overall, the service was alright. They served the waffle and took my order that's all. Free flow of water at self-service.

Dun really like this waffle set. Will go back for ice cream ala carte again though. Is a good after meal place for desert.

Daily scoop
Smile 2013-02-10

Daily scoops's ice creams are really of premium quality! Dense smooth rich and creamy without being too cloying and heavy on the palate! The lychee martini and chendol flavours are two of my favorite flavours, both and unique and really really delicious. Also try out the durian flavour if u get the chance to! It's really good and you can really taste durian in it

The Daily Scoop Ice Cream Cafe
Smile 2012-09-23

The Daily Scoop in Clementi is an ice cream cafe situated in a peaceful neighbourhood. The cafe inside is cooling and ambient, with music soothing to the ears.

   "OKAYAlah"

A few days ago, I went there to try one of the ice cream flavours. I had the kaya ice cream the cafe called "OKAYAlah" ice cream served on an ice cream cone. The ice cream looks like vanilla ice cream because it is as white as vanilla ice cream. The ice cream is chilling, soft, smooth and melts in the mouth. It has the sweetness of the kaya probably due to the fragrance and richness of the coconut milk. There are bits of kaya in the ice cream. The ice cream leaves a sweet milky aftertaste. The wafer cone is hard, crispy and crunchy. A scoop of ice cream on cone costs $3.20. Well, I'll accept that. smile

Lychee Martini ice cream on waffle. Great!

This evening, I went to the cafe once more. I had this time a scoop of Lychee Martini ice cream served with a waffle. The golden brown waffle is sprinkled with icing sugar and topped with chocolate syrup. A scoop of the ice cream is put on top of the waffle. The waffle is thick and round. It is crispy on the outside but soft and spongy on the inside. The chocolate syrup is bitter and sweet. The ice cream is sweet and fruity with a bit bitter alcoholic taste. There are also pieces of lychee in the ice cream that gave the ice cream crunchiness and make it taste more fruitiness. The aftertaste of the ice cream is sweet, milky and fruity. The waffle tastes great with the chocolate syrup and better when eaten with the ice cream too. The waffle with the ice cream costs $5.80. Wow, so expensive, but I'll accept it too. smile

Well, there is nothing to describe the home-made ice cream from the cafe. Nothing BUT two words: SIMPLY DELICIOUS! mad

Ice Cream @ Daily Scoop
Smile 2012-08-26

Finally, transport available to take us to visit Daily Scoop at Sunset Way again.

This time we managed to reach just before they close at 9pm on Sunday. Glad that we will not go home empty handed this time round, but as they were closing, they had run out of both waffles and brownie. But it is ok, the ice cream alone is enough to satisfy us.

There were not many flavours left as well, luckily my favourite strawberry shortcake was still available. Besides that, we ordered a scoop of macadamia nuts. Both flavours were nice, not too sweet. I also like the small chunks of nuts or strawberry shortcake added to give the ice cream a different texture.

Ulu but lovely ice-cream palour!
Smile 2012-08-21

   Daily Scoop!

Daily Scoop is a little out of the way, located at Sunset Way. There's this whimsical charm about Sunset Way and its general surroundings that make it worth coming all the way smile Hailed as one of the better and unique ice-cream palours in Singapore, I was curious and decided to drop by with my friend to check this place out. Many of my friends recommended this place too. (After reaching Sunset Way, you need to walk towards the residences/landed property side and it's quite a long walk.)

The first impression was that the place was freezing cold. The staff was really nice and turned up the temperature of the air-con! smile

Tried my favourite mango ice-cream flavour, which was nothing spectacular.. or maybe I ate too many better mango ice-cream before. The ice-cream is placed inside a very cute white bowl which I like.

The whole place is very cozy but still a bit too cold.

Won't be going back there again, but worth to go once just for the ambience. The ice-cream was not bad but not the best I've tasted.

Daily Scoop
Smile 2012-07-31 (Related Review)

I am officially an addict of The Daily Scoop. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I come by every one to two weeks to stock up on at least 2 pints of ice-cream from here.

But I can't help it, because the ice-cream is the best I have tasted to date. The flavors *really* taste like what is listed on the menu. And a pint is only S$9.50/ - which beats Haagen Daz and Ben and Jerry's hands down even.

My personal favorite ice-cream is the Minty Mint, Butter Pecan, Macadamia Nut and my mom loves the Simply Chocolate. However, I concede that the Black Sesame, Salted Mister Brown and Coffee taste amazing too!

Nice Ice-cream
Smile 2012-07-15

Service was not too bad. The counter staff were happy to let us try the flavours before ordering. I think we tried all the flavours available that day before placing an order of 3 large ice-creams (2 flavours each) at $4.80 a cup. Our flavours: chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, strawberry, rum and raisins, cuppucinno. The texture of the vanilla Scottish was just right. It had the right body, not too gummy and sweetness and vanilla flavour hit the spot. I can only say that maybe they should use butterscotch

to mix in.

Happened to go to bukit timah for something else then came across with this shop, The Daily Scoop. The design of the shop looked kina cute and nice environment. Ordered their Hazelnut Haven With Waffle. Totally feel impressed with the taste. Yummy yet inexpensive smile The hot and crispy waffle and the cold ice cream combined so well with each other, super delicious. Also, heard from my friend that the quality of their waffle is maintained. will definitely come here again lol

Waffle with ice cream
Smile 2012-05-07

Ice cream lover like me should not miss out this ice cream stall at Clementi. Especially like their waffles which are very crispy on the outside and the texture is thick and full of the butter flavour in it. Usually I like to have my waffles to be topped with their signature chocolate chips ice cream which is very thick and creamy, which the chocolate flavour is thick and the ice cream is not too sweet as well. A abit of the chocolate frudge topped on it really make the dessert looks very nice and the taste is equally delicious as well.

My favorite Hidden place at clementi road
Smile 2012-04-24

The price range is affordable and the servings are very very generous! I liked the ice-creams more than waffles actually, because the waffles are of a softer sort like those at udders and I personally prefer those hot and crisp (maybe even a little burnt) ones. I had the "house favorite" Kookie Monster, which was more milky than chocolate, and the delicious Bailey's with Chocolate Chip, which on the other hand seemed more chocolate with a hint of liquor, you know, the kinds where you have more bits and pieces of stuff in them. Just a personal preference. it is a hidden gem along the road to SIM, it is one of my favorite spot when I used to study in SIM

ice cream
Smile 2012-03-09

It has been ages since I was here and I always missed the homemade ice creams by them. It just taste so much more fresher and warm, knowing that it is churned by them not too long ago. That is the wonderful thing about homemade ice creams. I usually liked to have the default flavours like vanilla or chocolate and sprinkle peanut toppings on top of the ice cream to give it an added crunch and texture.

The Daily Scoop @ Sunset Way
Smile 2012-01-20

They offer waffle/brownie + 1 scoop ice cream set at $5.50. Nice ice cream at a very reasonable pricing, unlike those branded ice cream parlor that charge an exorbitant price.

They offer a variety of flavours - Fruity flavours, Connoisseur's Choice ice cream with liquor and also Fun-kyreations like garlicky Miss Caramel for the adventurous.

The strawberry shortcake was nice and creamy, not too sweet and studded with shortcake pieces. It goes well with their brownie as well. Satisfying dessert!

My favorite flavors at the Daily Scoop
Smile 2011-12-08

My favorite ice cream flavors at the Daily Scoop are none other than Lychee Martini and Cha. Contrary to what its name suggests, the former contains nary a trace of alcohol and is refreshingly fruity with a slightly icy texture that I adore. Cha, a fragrant and refreshing earl grey sherbet, makes an excellent post-lunch treat as well. A pity that it's not available often though!

Price: $2 for a junior scoop, $3 for a single scoop, $5.60 for a double scoop
