Honeycomb Ice Cream ($3/ scoop)
The ice cream was crunchy, without being too sweet. Just the right choice to have when the weather was so hot.

With a scarcity of cafes in Yishun/Sembawang, it's no surprise that Holy Cow Creamery has a booming business. The cafe was packed, both indoor and outdoor, during my visit at 9pm on a Saturday night.
Holy Cow Creamery has a wide array of Ice Cream created with a bold mix of various ingredients to a few simpler ones to suit purists. We had one of my all time favourite Iced Milk Tea and Miss Saigon made from the popular Vietnamese dripped coffee.
Creamy, smooth and balanced in flavour, thus earning a spot in my "Creameries & Waffles Worth Visiting" article!
Waffles had a crispy crust while soft and fluffy on the inside. Not the most fragrant I've had, yet satisfaction guaranteed.
Coffee here is served with beans from Santino. The latte ($4.5) had nutty and chocolatey notes, medium body and was suitable as a night drink (if you are intending to sleep).
The cafe was still filled to the bream when we left! Definitely a good addition to the north and what a way to end of the night!

Although the range of ice-creams looks limited, but they sound interesting. For seasonal flavour, there is Rudolph ice cream which is the taste of Christmas, with Cinnamon ice cream with ginger bread. The ice cream is divided into 2 ranges : Classic and Premium.

Waffle with Ice-Cream ($10)
I have selected Salted Gula Melaka ice-cream (which is Classic range of ice-cream) and Elvis (which is Premium range of ice-cream) for the waffle. The Elvis ice cream which is consists of peanut butter, bananas and chocolate, is a taste of the King's breakfast. It has a smooth banana and not too chocolatey taste. The Salted Gula Melaka ice-cream, which is consists of coconut and palm sugar, has a strong taste of gula melaka. The waffle is quite crispy but a bit overdone as it tastes on the edge of bitterness. Inside I feel it is still a bit lacking of being fluffy.

As Christmas season is coming, the cafe is also offering Mint and Ginger Bread flavour for Latte, Mocha and Chocolate drinks.

Ginger Bread Latte ($5)
Through the staff's recommendation, I order this drink. There is barely any latte art in the drink at first glance. The ginger bread taste overpowered the latte's taste.

Overall the place is quite relaxing and cosy as it is quite small. The ice-cream is really quite nice and delicious here. A great find under a HDB block.

The Waffles with Elvis ice cream ($7.50) is a nice combination to have. The waffles is crisp, not too soft and tasted not bad. The Elvis ice cream has a very rich taste of banana and peanut butter.

Now that there are more cafes opening in the newer estates, people who live around the area will be able to visit them. If you are around the Yishun area, you can now enjoy a ice cream parlour right at your neighbourhood without having to travel far!
