Full Tank - $13.90

(Bratwurst sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast, tomatoes, baked beans and sausage)

I haven't had such a fulfilling breakfast in a while, and the ones at Refuel Cafe definitely satisfied my cravings. I was in love with the buttery eggs and they had the right amount of seasoning. The sausage too, was flavorful and probably one of the betters ones I've had. The bacon was lightly salted, and the mushrooms were sauteed just right. Judging by the quantity and quality of the items served, the Full Tank is definitely value-for-money!

Refuel Pancakes (With Smoked Salmon) - $11.90

(Stack of 3 pancakes with smoked salmon. Other options such as bacon / bratwurst sausage are also available)

The pancakes at Refuel's was similar to that of MacDonald's hotcakes, but much fluffier! I've always been a fan of Mac's hotcakes so this was a plus point to me. We opted for smoked salmon for this one, and it was really fresh! A pity that the the salmon serving was a little small

Service:

The food was served promptly, and servers were friendly!

Atmosphere:
The place is rather cozy, but small. The last I check, it only sits around 35 people so you might make a reservation if you're going with a big group!

Toodles!

Besides these attractive offerings will be the Bedok Reservoir that's just a stone throw away from REFUEL Cafe.

I ordered the REFUEL Pancakes ($9.9) and a Latte ($4.5) while he had simply an Ice Mocha Latte ($5.9).

The Ice Mocha Latte was surprisingly acceptable by our standards as the coffee was evident despite of the chocolate syrup. Additionally, the chocolate mix didn't taste like those cheap milk cocoa.

My latte wasn't too bad as well. They used a blend of Brazilian and Ethiopian beans for their cuppa which is from a local roaster. It had a medium body and an earthy finish.

This is one of my rare order during cafe visits - pancakes. Thankfully it wasn't disappointing. Rather it was delightful as the buttery pancakes were fluffy and light.

I came upon this new cafe at Bedok Reservoir & decides to give it a try. This new cafe, Refuel, was situated at a corner of Blk 744, next to a popular bird shop.

When I first stepped in, the staff inside did not offer any smiles nor approach me to take order, so I just got hold of the menu & find myself a seat & sat down.

Orders are taken at the counter. Staff are all youngsters & I believe they're newly employed because they have no answers to any of my questions. For my drink, I ordered a long black. It's accompanied with a Pulled Pork Burger & Baked Mama's Wings. Dessert is Rasberry Tart with Vanilla ice cream.

i received my food probably 10-15mins later. The presentation was good. Food tastes good too. The pork in the burger was sweet & tender. The sides which were the salad are nicely soaked in zesty dressing. And the baked wings  are well marinated too.

My dessert of Rasberry tart made the deepest impression for this visit. The thick sinful chocolate with hints of Rasberry filled my whole mouth & tummy with happiness. It's not too sweet too! I love it.

i will definitely revisit this cafe soon! Hope the staff will have more smiles on my next visit.

I have not really visited many cafes in Singapore as many of them are located quite far from where I am staying and are not very accessible. The cafe was not really very big and the seats were almost all filled up by lunch-time. I saw a few parents bringing their children who were dressed in school uniform (probably they just took their PSLE results) to have their meal here.

As the cafe has the theme of petrol station, you can find "props" like the barrels below, signages related to petrol kiosks here.

The cafe served All-Day breakfast and I ordered their recommended "Full Tank" aka "Big Breakfast" which had bratwurst, bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast, tomatoes, potatoes & salad all served on one plate. ($13.90) Of course, I loved the mushrooms best and followed by the lightly toasted bread which was soft. The scrambled eggs was too creamy for my like as I prefer it to have a bit more texture.

After my meal, I spent some time walking around the neighbourhood. Near to the cafe, there is this birds shop that caught my eyes. Do check it out if you are around the area.

The food on the other hand was surprisingly good. We ordered the Banana Pancakes ($8.90) and Pulled Pork Burger ($12.90) for sharing.

The Banana Pancakes came in 3 thin slices and scrambled eggs (supposedly with salad too but we changed it for more eggs). I liked the pancakes as they were light and fluffy, with the fragrance and sweetness from the banana mash inside. The scrambled eggs were not bad too, quite soft and creamy though it could do with more seasoning. Though the portion looks small, it's surprisingly quite filling (you'll wanna leave space for coffee and desserts too right? ;) )

The Pulled Pork Burger was excellent! The lighted toasted bun with a generous filling of shredded pulled pork mixed with bbq sauce and lemonly slaw. The ingredients were fresh and veg were very crunchy. The portion is really filling too.

Prices here are nett with no GST and service charge. Very value for money! This is definitely one cafe of late to look out for. I already can't wait to go back and try their other items especially their pasta!

Refuel Cafe is the first cafe in Bedok to have opened in the Bedok Reservoir neighbourhood. Themed to model a petrol station, the interior was decked out with bare bulbs, petrol station signages and barrels. There are also traces of its theme in its menu, which are interestingly named with references to petrol station terminologies such as “Full Tank” and “V-Power”. Expect the usual brunch suspects to be served here, though they do also have sandwiches, mains and pastas as well.Having studied th

Having studied the menu before making the visit, I ordered the Banana Pancakes ($8.90); an item that captured my attention even before my visit. Loved how the mushy bananas were beaten into the batter of the pancake, which made it sweetly fragrant and fluffy. Coming with a side of salad and scrambled eggs, I could not get over how runny they were, though they could probably do with a bit more seasoning as well. The greens for the salad was a bit too bitter though, and I had some trouble trying to finish it.

My dining partner ordered the Full Tank ($13.90), which is the full works here. This hearty breakfast came with the usuals; bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, sautéed mushrooms, roasted potatoes and a salad by the side. Of particular mention would be the runny scrambled eggs, the soft roasted potatoes and the crisp bacon that fortunately did not taste like bak-kwa (which many places do). Again, most items felt a wee bit light on flavour, and could do with more seasoning.

Our choice of dessert to finish off the meal was the White & Black Chocolate Tart ($7.90), which came with a choice of Vanilla or Chocolate Ice-Cream. With sinfully thick layers of both dark and white chocolate ganache, it was surprisingly moderate on sweetness as it did not heat up our throats. This is definitely a must-order for chocolate lovers, though it can get a tad heavy for one to finish.

For a drink, I went for the usual; Flat White ($5.20). They use Brazilian beans for their cuppa which is supplied from a local roaster, and I like the medium body with its strong, earthy finish.
