Kwek Seng Huat Eating House was rather famous place especially when it hosted a number of stalls that sell delicious food like the Popiah Lorna, the famous BCM (Bak Chor Mee) Jln Tua Kong Lau Lim & not forgetting Long Jiang Roasted Delights. I remembered the last round when I visited the Eating House, the place was filled with smokey roasted smell when I was having a bowl of BCM for my breakfast and I was not spared for that. Having said that I felt that I had went for a morning BBQ as my clothing were all reaked of smoke. From then, I knew that their roasted meat was actually quite popular as mostly all the tables have placed an order from them even for a breakfast meal. A fulfilling meal for me to have tasted 3 roasted meat from Long Jiang including a braised egg. Ta-daa, presenting the meaty meal with rice including Roasted Duck, Roasted Pork and Char Siew.Cost: $6Char Siew Meat was soft and tender. I was rather surprised to see that the roasted duck was actually dark brown in color instead of reddish brown. Meat was fat and juicy!The top of layer of the Roast Pork was exceptionally crispy just like those cold dishes served in a wedding banquet. The meal was make perfect with its dark savoury sauce that gave an oomph to the roasted meat as well as the rice. Each rain of rice stands up and grainy to my liking. Although coated with sauce, they did not stick together. Food was moisture and was not dry at all!
