My mother came back from marketing and she took away roasted duck and roasted pork rice for me and my sister. One thing I like about their roasted duck is that it does not have any bones, so it was easy to eat. The roasted pork was good, the skin was crispy and somehow it tasted salter than the meat itself. The meat is very tender and juicy, it was also not too fatty as well. one thing I dun like is they did not add enough gravy for the rice, next time must take note to ask for more gravy. continue reading

I could not decide what to eat at Limbang the food court. After much pondering, I decided to settle for the duck rices something which I have not eaten for a long time. The duck rice was quite reasonably priced, like normal roast duck rice $3.50. The store keepers were very efficient, one chopped the duck very quite while the other prepared the rice and the gravy. Once the one cutting the duck placed the duck onto the rice. The other guy immediately wrapped the packet up. Very efficient, I got my food in no time. The duck rice was pretty good. I like most is their gravy. It was pretty tasty, most importantly not too oily. The duck was very tender. I like their skin, a little crispy and not too fatty. Their sambal is specially packed in little containers. It was not too spicy as well. Goes absolutely well with the duck. continue reading

Happen to pass by this stall when I visit my grand mother who stay in Choa Chu Kang and was really impresse by the standard of their pork meat selling here. It is very tender and juicy, and the meat is totally not that dry at all. The plain rice is also quite fragrant and goes very well with the pork meat. The price is also quite reasonable and the staffs here are also very friendly as well. continue reading

This stall offers many different types of roasted meat such as roasted chicken, roasted duck, roasted pork belly, roasted char siew and etc. One of my favourite is their char siew rice, which the char siew meat has been roasted really well with some 'over cooked' parts which make it reall fragrant. Moreover the meat itself is also very tender, juicy and not too oily. Especially love the dark thick sweet sauce which pour over to the fragrant plain rice and the char siew is heavenly delicious! The price is really reasonable and is popular for alll age groups. continue reading

Apparently the roasted stall at limbang has changed ownership. I decided to try out their duck rice. Now they offer various set meal. I took up set A which is the roasted duck set. It has vegetables, wanton soup on top of the normal roasted duck. Their roast duck skin was not too crispy, I think they did not roast it long enough. The met as ok, very tender and they gave quite a lot of pieces as well. The vegetables had oyster sauce drizzled on top, it was not too bad as well. There were two wanton in the soup. The wanton were rather large and had meat and prawns in it. The soup was rather tasty as well. I was pretty satisfied with the meal! continue reading
