Saturday morning I was at Bukit Batok East wanting to eat Ruyi Vegetarian noodles and again it was not open again. Hence, I went to the opposite kopitiam to look for something else to eat.I decided to have Roasted Duck Noodles from Rui Ji Xiang Gang Shao La and it cost $4. The queue was messy, you just order and stand one side, hence I was not sure where was the queue. The roast duck meat was good. The skin was fragrant and slightly crispy, under the skin was some fats. The meat was moist and tender. The noodles was good too, slightly springy and with the special sweet, savoury dark gravy.Overall, I could say this was among the best Roasted Duck Noodle in Bukit Batok, however the price was a bit high. continue reading

After tried a few dishes from different stalls from Kopitiam where Rui Ji XIang Gang Shao La is located, Wanton Mee from Rui Ji should be best dish among all for the night, at least it looked pretty decent.Given a plate of noodles doused with right amount of black sauce and pieces of thick lean meat as well as vegetables. I like the meal but perhaps if the BBQ Pork (Char Siew) pieces had a stronger smoked fragrance, it would be better. A small bowl of wanton soups filled with 3 wantons tasted ok, nothing special in particular.Cost: $2.50 continue reading
