Besides the usual Yong Tau Foo business, Seng Huat Cooked Food is also selling laksa and porridge.Ordered an affordable pork porridge at $2 when meals like this would already cost $2.50 at least else where. Porridge was cooked separately from the ingredients. The uncle scooped a bowl of plain porridge from his industrial rice cooker and began adding fried onion, fried anchovies, braised peanuts, minced pork meat and oil onto the top of the porridge turning the plain and tasteless porridge to tastiness. The amount of minced meat was consider little to me but with the price at $2, I cant complain much. It was definitely a bowl of stomach warming and comfortable food over lunch time.Cost: $2

The porridge sold here are very affordable and the portion is also very generous. One of my favourite order will be their century egg porridge. The century egg is very fresh and not too watery. The porridge is towards the thicker version and goes well with the.century eggs. Add in some sliced preserved gingers will even make this simple dish taste even more delicious. Usually I will buy back and enjoy it at the comfort of my home.
