Known as “Japanese Coffee House”, it was famous enough of Japanese cuisines and no need further elaboration. Interesting and charming environment, it served up an extensive Menu. Staffs were well-trained and polite, they even recommended some signature dishes initially.Rice awesomely wrapped with omelette and readily soaked with Japanese Curry, the platter was relatively juicy and savoury. Huge piece of boneless and well-marinated grilled chicken, it was the wholesome meal for sure. Dressed up with freshly lettuce, presentation was colourful and appetizing. $16.80, it sounded a little pricey but filling portion. continue reading

Chanced upon Shokudo Japanese Coffee House not long ago and the restaurant concept from outside looks great. I wasn't sure of the menu initially but decided to just get a table and try anyway. My buddy and I decided to get the same thing, the Chicken Curry Omu Rice, which was a great choice! The fragrant rice is cooked with tomato paste to enhance the taste to go along with the soft and fluffy omelette. The perfectly grilled chicken was also generously large and seasoned well with teriyaki sauce. The curry that I've poured it over later on brings the dish to a whole new level. Overall, this was a memorable experience for which we enjoyed a truly wholesome meal. continue reading

A lovely simple lunch treat from my friend in this Japanese Coffee House at Bugis. Restaurant layout is quite spacious and environment is cosy and comfortable as well. The service here is friendly and fast. My friend has treated me their Seafood Cheese pizza which the presentation looks really appearing and delicious. Generous amount of fresh crunchy prawns and squids are topped on it. Moreover the clams with shelves are equally fresh and chewy too. Pizza crust is not too thick and crispy. The melted cheese certainly make this dish very tasty and appetizing. The spending per adult is less than $20 which is quite affordable. continue reading

Was at bugis junction and finding a restaurant to have desserts after having dinner. Me and my friend came to Shokudo as the waffle looks really good from the menu.We ordered waffle with banana and it comes with chocolate and maple syrup. The waffle is average, not as crispy and warm as we expected. Me and my friend paid $6 each for this and dont find it really value for money. Might be back in future to try their main instead. continue reading

They have an extensive range of beverages and we ordered these three beverages, forgot all the names but the one topped with whipped cream is green tea flavoured, another one in the tall glass is chocolate flavoured topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate flakes and the one in the shortest glass is a grape flavoured drink topped with shorbet. All of them tasted nice. This chicken katsu spaghetti was delicious, noodles were springy, sauce was flavourful and the chicken cutlets are well marinated, crispy battered with moist and tender meat underneath. The curry rosti was very nice and crispy, served with a bowl of thick and flavourful japanese curry. Dipping the rosti into the curry and eat it was such a delish.Noodles a bit dry and bland but the salmon was well marinated, soft and tender. This unagi mushroom cheese pizza was yummy, topped with grilled unagi and shiitake mushrooms. The crust was crispy and not too thick. continue reading
