1 word to describe this BBQ: BEST!!

For $25++ for dinner, you get all of the quality of the different marinated meats and also an unlimited supply of kimchi, rice cake and rice...Good for meat lovers!!! Saliva dripping!!

The service wise is excellent, Korean staff & manager very friendly and courteous... no complain

Who doesn't love korean BBQ, especially with the recent kpop craze?! Ssikkek BBQ offers Korean BBQ buffet at a reasonable price as well! They have a variety of meats such as pork belly, beef, chicken and etc! They do serve cooked food as well. They have fried glass noodles, fried food, seaweed soup and others! They have a variety of sauces for you to mix as well. Also, garlic, onions and etc to grill and make your meat taste nicer! Overall, NICE NICE NICE!

Wednesday afternoon sees me going to Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ Buffet with a group of friends for lunch. I have patronaged its sister branch 2D1N Soju Bang, but this is my first time at Ssikkek!

We were there for a good half an hour before it opens for business because one of my friends advised that we should be early since the restaurant don't do reservations for lunch buffets.

True enough, a queue started to form behind us slightly after 11am! Hungry people on the loose! Attacking the pork belly and well marinated chicken! (And the rest of the meat which I didn't manage to capture on the camera because I was too busy barbecuing and eating!)The meat was well marinated and with fantastic bbq skills, the meat tasted heavenly. Definitely a 5/5.Other than meat, there were also side dishes to choose from. From sausages to corn salad to stir fried glass noodles to mixed vegetables. To pretend that we are actually health conscious, we wrapped the cooked meat in fresh lettuce with kimchi and Korean chilli paste before tucking it into our mouths.

Despite the fact that the restaurant was full during our visit, our water was refilled so many times without any grumbles and our aluminium foil was changed ever so frequently. The best part was that the buffet spread was also topped up every now and then! I really got to give them a 5/5 for excellent and prompt service.

Overall, Ssikkek is a pretty good choice for group gatherings and definitely value for money!

Used to cycle past this place everyday, and the restaurant is always crowded from evening onwards. Heard that this is the best Korean buffet to go to among 2D1N and Arirang (Raffles Place) as it is affordable and the food is decent for a buffet.

Didnt have a chance to go to until last year, for my farewell dinner. The ex-colleagues waited for about 15minutes before they got a place (i went late).

The table was quite small and cant really fit in all the varieties, it doesnt help that the place is bursting with people and the food is gone within minutes, even though the refill of the food is quite fast.

But the waiters are prompt in changing the foil where we used it to bbq the food. We smelled badly after that as there is not much ventilation. Overall, the food is ok. The potato is the highlight of that night, we were quite fascinated with it as it is thinly sliced. I am not a fan of the sauce. The meat tasted decent. Nothing much to complain about since its already affordable.

Here are some food my friends have taken for the bbq. It was nice as it is a buffet we can take all we want with a prize. So i took lots of pork and chicken. It was fun bbqing the pork and and chicken. I took the prawn too. Some of my friend also wrap the pork into the vegetable. There are many choices so everyone can eat till full. It is suitable for the halal so you can bring all the malay here. This is some of the korean decoration.

Lots of onion slices to stir fry till caramelized, handfuls of golden mushroom and inch-thick potato slices for the carbs that tasted great barbequed in the fatty juices of meat and addictively preserved radish discs that I threw onto the hotplate as well.

There was also a seaweed/minestrone/ginseng soup that were unfortunately cold with no refills given the late timing we were admitted.
There was a small tray of grilled chicken wings and corn apple salad that kept me happy while waiting for the food to cook.

good food at wallet friendly prices!

My friends and I have been planning for a visit to this place for a long time, so we decided to book and visit it. You just have to book a few days earlier and you won't have to queue a long time.

Surroundings is not bad, both indoor and outdoor. Personally,i prefer outdoor as there's more air circulation. Food choices are about the same as other korean bbq restaurant. But one thing which they stand out from is their ingredients are fresh and nice, so it's more value for money.

Towards the end, my friends and i decided to get some soju to end off the perfect meal. Maybe because we were the last few left in the shop, the boss decided to give each of us a free ice cream. Overall, it's a nice place for the price u pay.

PS: The main plus point of this shop is that the boss is a real korean. He will ensure the standards are as close to the authentic as possible.

The meat was good! you can tell that they make an effort to provide quality meat instead of some lousy grade just because it's a buffet. i really enjoyed myself despite the small space and very crowded food counters.
As we were there to celebrate birthdays, the boss even offered to take a polaroid picture for the group (about 10) as a momento. that was a really nice touch. i strongly recommend this restaurant for korean bbq!

I am going to their new branch at Oriental Plaza tonight. Hopefully it's as good.

was very surprised that there are lot of people .

Very cramp place no place to put the cutlery properly as the table is small and in the middle is the gas metal cooker.

The BBQ smoke flying into the eyes and do not take the room causing me and my wife to tear very poor ventilation.

The marinating sauce for the food is all sweet and not having the authenticate Korean flavor . All accept the Ginseng chicken soup and the Kim chi .

The prawn is not fresh no more sweetness .

I would not recommend to anyone .

If you are just like me who do not really border about calories and love to eat those juicy thin slices of pork belly, then you should not miss the korean buffet here. The choices here are really wide and interesting, which includes non-cooked dishes and a few cooked dishes, which includes kimchi fried rice, fried chicken wings, steamed egg and seaweed soup. Like the feel of cooking the raw items by myself which really satisfy me when it is cooked till fragrant and tasty. The environment here is also quite cosy and comfortable too.

My classmates and I went for lunch at Ssikkek Korea BBQ after recommendation from one of my classmates.
When we got there, there's quite a number of people.
There's not many choices for lunch but i'm not complaining much for the reasonable price paid.
One person dine for only $14 after GST and Svc Charge

For this price, you can get to eat some of the cooked dishes like fried rice or cold noodles, salad and kimichi!
For the bbq items that would be either choice of chicken, pork or beef.
The pork that we have that day is fatty meat, was informed by my friend that they have bacon for dinner round
The service is quite good too, when the aluminium foil is too oily or abit burn, the person would come and change for you instantly.
They also serve jug of water on each table for your own refill, saves the hassle of you calling them and them having to refill!

Overall, im greatly satisfied and will be back to visit a second round for dinner
My classmate mentioned that there's always a crowd and a long queue especially during weekends.
She mentioned that it would be advisable to call and RSVN first.

I went to ssikkek Korean bbq with a couple of colleagues after work the other day. Lucky for us, we went early so there wasn’t a queue. There was quite a large spread of authentic Korean food. The marinated meat selection was pretty much a lot. from pork belly to bacon to marinated beef steak to chicken steak. It pretty much reminded me of the time I had Korean bbq in korea. There were also kimchi soup, Korean rice cake and many side dishes. I like the bean paste sauce you wrapped the meat with. The lettuce they provided is very fresh. Love the crunchiness of the vege with the meat. there were sausage and seafood like prawns too.

Went on Valentine day, as most of the posh restaurant will be fully reserved. Booked a table for 5, with my boyrfriend, parents and aunt for our sweet valentine.Nevertheless, the foods didnt disappointed us. there are many selections of self-service meat - from beef to chicken & pork. Refillable drinks and desserts. However, the side dishes didnt have much varieties.

Smoky and noisy place for dining, but it is just the atmosphere of a typical korean BBQ.

Good wise choice.

Pretty decent spread of food, considering it only cost $24.20. Prawns were very fresh, and there was a good variety of meat - chicken, beef, pork - available.

Very value-for-money, although a bit too oily. Drinks such as barley, iced water are available.

A little smokey as the indoor ventilation wasn't very good.

Overall, a pretty good place to celebrate with a bunch of friends!

went down with my lab people for lunch. when i first saw the plate on the grill, i thought it was was butter but actually is for the oil or sauce to drip from the grill which i felt is quite a thoughtful move.
as for the food choices i did not really like it because the focus was on meat, there are a total of 6 types of marinated meat and that was almost everything there. there were fried rice and some salad/kimchi like side dishes but they were not suitable for bbq.
although the price is cheap, i think this place is only suitable for meat lover
