Knowing that I liked spicy food, my friend posed a challenge to me - to conquer Level 30 (the highest level of spiciness) of their infamous Buffalo Wings. Challenge accepted! The purpose of our visit was therefore not for the taste but merely out of the fun of challenging ourselves to spiciness.Level 30 here we come!!2 of us ordered half dozen, the minimum number per order.Prices increase steadily with increased spiciness. The buffalo wings are rather expensive! After eating 1 piece each, I started to drink alot of water, which didn't help in relieving the spiciness at all. Biting into it, like how you would normally eat a chicken wing, was painful because the chicken wing had a thick coat of Level 30 murderous chilli all over, and I was literally biting straight into the deadliest part. There was no way to escape. Later on we just peeled all the meat off the bones first. The secret to conquer this is to not allow the chilli to touch your lips, and chew and swallow as fast as possible. If scraping the coat of chilli away and eating just the chicken meat was how you intend to conquer this, I'd say it wouldn't make much of a difference because the spiciness was in every single cell of this chicken wing. Even the white meat parts were spicy like the chilli coat. There was no slightest tinge of chicken taste at all. The chilli covered over every single bit of taste. In fact, I'd prefer to describe it as no taste except for extreme intense spiciness and very slight chilli-bitterness.3 chicken wings for each of us were a little too much. At the end of the ordeal, I also finished 2 cups of milk (said to do alot in relieving spiciness) and 3 cups of water, bloated too full. There was no way to get rid of the spiciness because it bites and burns very stubborn on the tongue and throat - which became really painful. The pain didn't go away for another hour. My stomach felt like it was on fire too.We were given certificates, and were qualified to sign our names on the wall of fame!Going through this challenge was a crazy idea, we did it in the name of fun and had a good time laughing at each other's swollen lips. This was a once in a lifetime experience. The next time I go back to this restaurant I'll be sticking to Level 1 and making sure it'll be for an enjoyable experience rather than a torturous one. continue reading

This place has closed down. Knowing Seletar Airport's rapid redevelopment going on, we knew it was a matter of time when the authorities will shoo the restaurant away. So, my wife and I, each with camera in hand to record what will be the past in future, arrived there yesterday (Sunday, 22 Apr at around 4pm) to discover that the past has already come.... Even the buildings are no longer there, save for that short row of offices one has to pass by walking from the car park to the restaurant. What used to be the restaurant is now just grass. The big tree by the stream/drain is still there though. The rest, all gone. Even the nearby hangars and other office buildings that used to house aviation services companies are being gradually torn down.Photo buffs can go there to record the buildings being torn down though. Great shots especially when it threatened to storm yesterday. Great lighting : the crumbling white buidlings standing starkly against the dark grey storm clouds and lightning flashes.Do hurry if you wanna take pictures because I think it'll be flat land in 2-3 weeks time. While we were there busy taking pictures, big tipper trucks were moving in and out of that area carting loads of debris from the demolitions although no demolitions were actually going on at that time. But be careful if strong winds are blowing, lots of sand and light debris flying around. I was in what used to be the main hangar of Fokker Aviation Services snapping away inside. When the strong winds hit, the half-torn zinc roof panes flapped around madly in the wind and created a grand racket. "Blessed" with an over-active imagination, I had visions of Final Destination Part 256 and that's when I decided that our little excursion was over and we scooted from that place. My question is : what has happened to the Sunset Grill and Pub? I wonder if they're operating from somewhere else or have they closed down for good. Anyone out there knows....? continue reading

Onion ring ($6.99++)The onion ring best served when it is hot. It smell nice and had a very crispy "skin" on the outside. The sauce tasted match with the onion ring. The onion did enough for anyone to share as the menu mention. I will definitely order this again. continue reading

Our main purpose for visiting this place is the buffalo wings. We heard so much about it and thought it would be a good idea to try.We tried the famous buffalo wings which can go up to level 30 in terms of spiciness. Since it's our first time trying,we went for level 3 as recommended by the staff. For me,level 3 is already very spicy! I do not like the spices as it overwhelm the taste of the chicken. I do not mind eating spicy stuff but this dish makes me feel like I'm eating the chilli not the chicken. continue reading

TitleDeep Fried Mushrooms CommentI love to eat mushrooms!! Mushrooms is my favorite always. But Sunset Grill & Pub disappointed me with their deep fried mushrooms. The batter was too thick and the mushrooms was too oily. But at least the mushrooms was fresh. I will never want to order this food again.Grade/5 continue reading
