After ordering our Happy Hour drinks here, we started with the food. The Crab and Prawn Bisque was served first - crustacean of creme prawn and chunks of crabmeat, with drizzles of Brandy and served with a slice of garlic bread. It was piping hot, thick and totally delicious. The crab bits within the soup were silky smooth, and the prawns were fresh and springy in texture. Every sip was a treat. Our Roasted Duck Pizza came next - thin crusts with roasted duck breast, sauteed shitake mushroom with hoisin sauce, topped with crispy popiah skin and mozarella cheese. The overall taste was a savoury blanket of scrumtiousness, made more so by the crispy crust, however the duck meat was hardly detectable. The spread of sauce made the pizza a tad too sweet after a while, so it is advisable to finish it ASAP upon being served. Finally, the Seafood Risotto - arborio rice cooked with prawns, scallops and crabmeat and its a very flavorful seafood broth. The scallops and prawns were both fresh, bouncy in texture and tasty. The rice, infused with the richness of seafood gravy, was, needless to say, spoonfuls of heaven. My favourite pub to go to with my wife. We usually have our friend gatherings there on weekdays. Their famous dish which most people will order will be the roasted duck pizza. Its duck meat on normal pizza topped with special sauce and fried wanton skin. It’s superb for sharing with a group of about 4-6 pax. And it goes rather well for beer. The ambience is great with live band starting from 8pm-12mn. Always feel relaxed chilling in timbre. continue reading

I met up with a group of my friends to have dinner and chill at Switch by Timbre! It was recommended by one of our friends as a great chill-out place for dinner and drinks as they also offer daily live performances by local artists! Timbre serve great pizzas and my favourite one is the Smoked Duck Pizza! You have to order this when you dine at Timbre! We were there around 7+pm and they were having some Happy Hour promotions from 6-8pm. One of them included 2 Erdinger pints with a margherita pizza at $34++! A really good deal! Overall, I had an awesome time with great food, drinks and company continue reading

Switch by Timbre is a new chill out place, fully air-conditioned with cozy ambiance. Love and I usually order the Roasted Duck pizza. However, this time round we ordered a half and half pizza, a mix of Roasted Duck and Timbre Hawaiian. We still prefer the Roasted Duck. But must consume the pizza fast because once it is cold, the duck is a bit tough. We also ordered the Timbre Chicken Wings, it was well marinated and perfectly deep fried. YUM YUM!! If you are not a fan of alcoholic drinks, you can order the House Cooler (the one in green - apply flavor), there are a lot of flavor such as strawberry, passion fruit... ... The other drink is Snowball and i prefer it over beer.Overall it's a great place to chill and enjoy good food with great music! continue reading

SWITCH is opened by Timbre, and replicates most of the dishes there. Definitely the to-die-for pizza would be the duck pizza that we ordered 3 times that very night. There were 10 of us and we tried some other side dishes and other variations of pizza but it was just Blah. just order the duck pizza and only the duck pizza. ambience was totally awesome- they have very good in house music regardless of the day you go. the irritating part is how everyone has to order a drink and they dont really have nice non alcoholic drinks for the drivers (cant they just make it compulsory for everyone to order something, be it food or drink?) continue reading
