I love the grand setting with a little bit of colonial of the exterior, and the grass patch which covers almost the entire stairway to the entrance. On the left side, just before walking straight to the reception counter, there is a corridor showcasing their cakes and pastries. Took on the 3-course ($66.00) dinner menu, for a swift and decisive action to settle my growling stomach! The first course was the Cream of Pumpkin and Carrot with Garlic Croutons Soup. I would conclude the soup is too sweet to my liking, although it is thick and creamy. Diners, whose taste favors pumpkin and carrot combination, might find this soup a great start to the meal.Second course was Roasted Peppered Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Baby Potato. Looking juicy from the outside, but inside was pretty dry.An alternative to the Roasted Peppered Chicken, was the Oven Baked Seabass with Mixed Vegetables and Baby Potato with Creole Tomato Sauce. In my opinion, a dish of fish fails when the fishy taste is still there, and become slightly above average of my bearable level. This dish apparently falls into this category. Though not overcooked, but I rather it be overcooked than being too fishy.Chocolate Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream, for dessert. This was the one and only option, unlike the first and second course. Brownie is a little dry and sticky to your teeth as you bite, but smear with the vanilla ice cream, and it should work fine.Service is commendable, but perhaps food can be improved for a better rating from diners. I wouldn't make another visit to Tablescape, partly due to inaccessibility, and mainly on the quality of food. For more details, please visit http://www.foodesteem.com/2014/08/tablescape.html continue reading

Check out my blog (www.jerjerjer.com) for more photos and read about my staycation at Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa! We booked a Heritage Suite at Mövenpick Sentosa for a 3D2N staycation and the room came with a complimentary breakfast-for-2 and also all-day refreshments + evening cocktails at the Crystal Lounge. The restaurant is brightly lit and overlooks the patio outside where there are lots of green and you can also hear the monorail zooming past every now and then. There are quite a few buffet stations for breakfast. They have a local section with fried rice, dim sum and porridge; a cereal section with chocolate coco pops!; a savory section with sausages, potatoes and mushrooms; a pastry and bakery section with danish, fresh breads and cakes; they also have an egg station that has a chef to make an omelette for you, or you can grab the read-made sunny side ups or hard-boiled eggs, french toasts, pancakes, bacon, cheeses and fruits. The buffet breakfast normally costs $40 per head but comes with free flow of fresh juices, coffee and TWG tea of various blends. Overall, the breakfast was satisfying and I particularly like the Muesli Yoghurt! It has texture like oats but it’s cold and loaded with lots of fresh fruits like apricot, blueberries, strawberries and a gooseberry too. The muesli is not that sweet and the sour fruits make it quite a refreshing (and healthy) morning treat!Check out my blog (www.jerjerjer.com) for more photos and read about my staycation at Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa! continue reading
