I like school south canteen's takoyaki..!
They are cheap and nice..!
It is completely can compete with the outside one.
The aunty is not selfish to put much of ingredient inside.
I dislike those takoyaki with too much of flour one.
This taste nice..!
And with the sauce and the "chai yu". It taste really nice.!
And it only cost $1.90 for 3 balls.
Worth right..?
So i always craving for it.

tuna pancake

I was walking around at canteen when I got hungry. I decided to have their pancake when i saw the takoyaki pancake stall. The pancakes are very yummy and delicious and the best part is they serve it nice and hot and fresh. The meal is filling and makes me very happy. The pancake has a tinge of vanilla essence and the red bean paste is very nice.

Takoyaki
Smile 2012-07-21

The takoyaki balls are soft and a little crispy in the outer with the combination of hot and softness in the internal with the ham and cheese. Thinking back is making me drooling now. With the addition of their sweet sauce and the flicks, makes the whole takoyaki very nice to consume and will ask for more.

Smile 2012-07-17

I suddenly felt craving for pancake, so i decided to go for pancake while the lecture give us a break.

I ordered the red bean pan cake from the Takoyaki Japanese Pancake stall. The pancake tasted nice as mr. bean one or may be even better.

The red bean filling was fresh and the sweetness was just right. The outer pancake had a very compact mouthfeel and i love it so much.

The colour is also nice.Means that the maker control the ingredient and the temperature well. I like the honey taste very well. Not very sweet,it just right for me. Can see from the photo that it is quite spongy and soft. The red bean is also nice, smooth and sweet. I like the red bean taste very much.

Octopus Takoyaki
Smile 2012-07-07

My friend and I can be said to be the Takoyaki supporters as we will always visit to this stall when we are having our short tea break at school. Both of the aunty and uncle are very friendly. Also the takoyaki is very chea, 3 for $1.90 only. I ordered their octopus takoyaki. The ingredients used are very fresh. They actually spread lots of sauce on the takoyaki and also give us lots of cuttlefish flakes. Thumbs up for this takoyaki.

Takoyaki
Smile 2012-04-21

One of my favorite in school. I will usually buy it if I have a short break in school. They offered a few choices of fillings such as prawn, crabsticks, and etc but the one I preferred is octopus. Small cuts of octopus cooked in a floor batter, topped with drizzle of Japanese sauce, chewy and yummy lol Most of the time, I need to wait for a while before eating it as it is too hot to put into your mouth immediately. The price is also quite cheap and they do provide a good service. They will always greet you with a smile even though you didn't buy their takoyaki

Takoyaki Japanese Pancake - South Canteen

   Takoyaki

Takoyaki ($1.8 for 3, $2.4 for 4)
South canteen's takoyaki have 4 fillings, which is prawn, octopus, ham and crab meat. I like ham and octopus the most. The takoyaki tasted the best while it is hot. I always like to buy it as snack while having discussion with friends at South canteen.

Feeling Peckish Craving for something light to ease your hunger

Takoyaki Japanese Pancake stall in South Canteen might be the one you are looking for lol They sell pankcake as well as takoyaki at affordable prices with $1.90 for Tako and $0.90 for pancake. I personally loved both their pancake and tako.

Above picture shown is crabmeat takoyaki. Both the stall owners were friendly when they served me. There were three takoyaki and it was all spreaded with lots of sauces and cuttlefish flakes on it. YUMMY! After paying for the order, they even greeted me with a smile and thanked me for purchasing it.

With their pleasant service and nice food, I will definitely patronise their shop more often lol

tako ball!
Smile 2011-11-20

Always have a craving for Takoyaki (octopus balls) at South Canteen, NYP. This stall's takoyaki is consider nice among all the takoyaki i have tasted. And it's cheap too, 3 for $1.9 and 4 for $2.5. I always order 4 to share with my friend, each two balls. There are 4 types of ingredients to be choose from: octopus, prawn, crabstick and chicken ham. I still prefer the octopus one. The sauce is also nice.

Tako balls
Just OK 2011-05-21

I ordered a cheese and ham tako balls, it was delicious. They are very generous with their servings as there were quite a number of hams inside. It is cheap and nice, the combination of the takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise and topped with the katsuobushi (shavings of dried bonito make it a perfect dish.

Japanese takoyaki and pancakes.
Just OK 2011-03-07

I really like the fact that there is a stall in my school(south canteen) selling takoyaki. I remember when I was a kid, I used to call them 'sotong ball' as I always chose the squid flavor.

The takoyaki are really cheap and pretty good. I bought the prawn flavor, 4 average-size pieces for 2 dollars, topped with mayonnaise and fish flakes. I do wish that the auntie could be more generous with the fish flakes topping though. They were served hot and not too oily nor soggy. Not too bad a choice!
