Found the most authentic Thai Cuisine here, it was my default choice for Thai food always. I was not coming here for main course meal, thinking to take some finger food before dinner. Menu has a lot of varieties, all based on Thai culture.Ordered from Side Dish selection, the picture looked appealing. I prefer deep-fried stuff, like it very much. Prawn Toast was stringy yet not greasy, good taste with spicy sauce. I was quite impressed for their Thai-style chilli, unique sourly hot and satisfied our taste buds. $4.90 Thai Iced Tea was all right, it would be better if the ice lesser. The staff told us that customers are welcome to share opinion or comment on their food if any. Online form for feedback was available all the time, they look forward to hear from us. continue reading

Thai Express has revamped their entire menu and introduced new dishes to make it seemingly more Thai-ish. I had Thai Express when the PSI was between 150-200, and it was freaking me out that mosquitoes were dropping on my table, overturned, and struggling to survive. That aside, I didn't really enjoy my meal.I ordered an extremely spicy, rated 3 chilli padi dish with the desire to clear the mucus in my nose. Fried Chicken Sticky Noodles ($11.30). The description must have read, "Do not be deceived by this mild-looking dish". Please heed the warning, it is extremely spicy that I couldn't take more than 10 spoonfuls of the dish. I drank a full cup of Thai iced tea and one bottle of water but it didn't help to extinguish the burning sensation I had on my tongue, lips and it felt like my teeth was on fire. The chilli totally ruined the entire tasting experience, so if you're a dragon, just go ahead and order this dish. Or if you need to let your tears gush out from your eyes and onions don't work, just part with your $11.30 and go all out on this dish yeah?Thai Seafood Otah ($8.30) was a disappointment... It was really expensive considering the size of this appetiser. In fact, it's not really Otah. It tasted like fish, and it tasted extremely weird. I would NOT recommend this dish.My mum is a wise fellow when she orders dishes. This Thai Noodles Soup ($11.30) is the most worth it, and it tasted so uniquely Thai. The soup was sour and spicy at the same time, a good blend into what-you-call 'Tom Yum' lah.Look at the noodles! It's like Kway Teow but not really.. very fine texture and chewy too! Thai Iced Tea ($4.90)I always order this every single time. My mummy would say it's extremely sweet, but to me, it tasted just fine! For the above few dishes, we spent $42.15. continue reading

FoodPineapple fried rice (Khao Phat Supparod Talay), S$11.90. Yums! Tasty pineapple fried rice with seafood has a very unique thai taste, most probably the fish sauce is used! With the roasted cashew nuts and meat floss by the side, irresistible!Stick Noodle with beef in broth (Sen Lek Neua), S$12.90, stated as one of the popular dish on its menu. A Thai adaptation of a classic Laotian dish. Broth is extremely rich in taste and reminds me of the chinese "Bak Kut Teh". Sliced beef is thinly cut and tender, sweet in taste too. Voted by Thais, the tastiest of all street snacks in Pattaya City. Thai Style Roasted Chicken Thigh (Gai Op Pattaya), S$9.90. This juicy, golden roasted to perfection chicken thigh is flavourful.Chendol, S$6.80. The icy cold drink/dessert of the night. Awesome finely shaved heap of ice in the disposable cups with some thin slices of sweet tasting jack fruits decorated on the plain fading brown color of the soft gentle ice. A definite must try!ServiceI'm quite impressed by the initiative of the server who offered to reheat their dishes as I was quite busy with the meet up and left our food untouched for about half an hour. An observant girl indeed. It is seldom I get to receive such great treatment from servers when dining in malls.AmbienceQuite irritated by the house flies who keeps flying onto my food. As it was about 9pm on a weekday night, there was not much crowd in the restaurant. However since Thai Express was located along the food street in Basement 1, the open space is rather noisy.PriceReasonable pricing for such yummy food. The total spending for the night: continue reading

Beef meat with rice! Not only that there's onion to enhance the taste with the meaty, nuts topped on top for crunchy taste, cucumbers by the side to refresh overall food! And not forgetting the yummy sauce they provide by the plate together with a piece of small lime! (:It is reasonably affordable for a restaurant eatery with good looking appearance plus yummy food! continue reading

Have a quick lunch at this Thai Express outlet as need to rush off for work. Was glad that my food was served to me in less than ten minutes. This plate of pineapple rice has quite an unusual display as the toppings are place at the side of the plate instead of mixed and topped on the rice. Which I think is good for those picky person who do not eat on certain food items. The pineapple rice was fragrant and really like the nice yellow colour of it. The prawns are fresh and crunchy, and also the added chicken floss certainly make this dish even more tastier and delicious. Lots of sweet juicy cubes pineappples can be found in the rice, which make it not too dry and appetitizing. Even the price may be abit high, but because of its good quality, I would not mind to revisit again. Restaurant is quite cooling and with nice trendy decoration. Staffs are friendly as well. continue reading
