The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Usually, I'll get my iced mocha from either St Marc's, McCafe or Starbucks... so I guess each of the coffee places really have their own brand of mocha. For Coffee Bean, their rendition of mocha is a flatter, more cocoa, and less chocolate version than McCafe's or Starbucks, and in fact closer to what St Marc's has. It is definitely more bitter than its counterparts but nevertheless still enjoyable since I like the bitterness in coffees.

Coffeee bean is a great place to hang out and chill. this place does not only provide coffee and tea but also a range of food such as tarts and sandwiches. This fine looking blueberry tart is really delicious and fresh! Love the custard cream and the fresh blueberries at the top of the tart. Not forgetting the finely roasted pistachio nuts on top that adds a crunch to the tart.

Went to have a cup of tea in the afternoon with some of my colleagues and shared some stories... It was so good after eating so oily stuff or at least for me it was....

Being under a lot of stress... i had a cup of chamomile tea to calm my nerves down... Well i cant say anything much about the tea except that it was refreshing and very good after a meal... To put it in different versions... I felt that it was so relived after that and because i asked for a takeaway cup it is really epic because it comes with a jacket warmer and therefore you can hold it better..

CBTL is awesome..

I expected more for the main courses at CBTL. They were really very disappointing

I ordered chicken and mushroom fettuccine and the fettuccine came undercooked. They were still hard that they can't even be chewed. I informed the staff but yet they still served another plate of undercooked fettuccine. My mum was so disappointed that she stopped eating after a few mouthfuls.

The ultimate breakfast was okay albeit I didn't really like the scrambled eggs. They wasn't the fluffy scrambled eggs I had in mind. The patty and bacon was steamed and hence weren't too greasy which were light on my palette. A more healthy option.

Overall, I wouldn't want to order the main courses ever again to avoid huge disappointments.

SGD 12(Lunch)

Came here for breakfast on a saturday morning. Ordered the pancakes which came with maple syrup and butter. The pancakes were light and fluffy and really good! They were tasty and had the right texture, not being too dense. Served with maple syrup and quality butter, this made for a really delicious breakfast. Coffee bean is definitely a good choice for breakfast on a weekend with family or with friends!

After a long shopping trip, I decided to head to coffee bean to enjoy a nice refreshing beverage. I ordered the Christmas special, something different I guess. I ordered the Double Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blended drink small size. It was pretty expensive, cost me a good $6.60. However the drink was indeed thirst quenching. It was very chocolaty, mixed with a tinge of minty flavour. The mint with the ice blend makes it very cold and refreshing. I must say this rich chocolaty flavour does give you a sugar rush. It is very smooth and creamy too. one of the nice new addition.

SGD 6(Tea)

Ordered the double chocolate ice blend. The chocolate in it is very rich and abundant. I don't taste it to be any diluted which is really good. When compared to starbucks, the chocolate used here is richer and more fragrant.
The whipped cream should be the same everywhere but the whipped cream here taste more "smooth" maybe due to more milk added into it .
The drink has the right amount of sugar added - it is not too sweet and added the natural sugar that is already present when making the chocolate .

I am not a FAN of Pudding! But i must say this..This would be one of the best PUDDING I have ever tasted! I never knew coffee bean would serve pudding as well. the one in the cup is the pudding, very butter-ish, soft and moist! SO YUMMMMYY What you have to do is take a bit of the pudding together with the whipped cream and the strawberry plus the crunchy thingy in the center..and PUT IN YOUR MOUTH!!! Doesn't it sound delicious!!! I spent less that $10 for this delicious pudding! You guys got to try it out!!! You don't know what you are missing!!! i would definitely go back again!

Decided to visit Coffee bean again after a month or two. Although The Coffee Bean is very slightly more expensive than Starbucks, I still prefer The Coffee Bean for their smoother ice blends, and more chocolaty taste in their mocha drinks.

I got my favourite large Mocha Ice Blended as usual, for about $7.40. The ice was blended pretty well, and the chocolate taste in the mocha was very strong, just how I like it, but still not losing the coffee flavour. However, I feel that the price is on the high side, but I still continue to drink it time after time. Call that addiction.

SGD 7(Tea)

I choose the blueberry cheese cake as they did not replenish the other cheese cakes. I am quite a fan of cheese cakes
because of its texture and doesn't feel so sinful as compared to chocolate cake. (Maybe is my own thinking fooling
myself) The blueberry jam on top is mildly sweet and it helps to balance the bland cheese taste. My friend had chosen the thousand leaf chocolate cake, which I had eaten a couple of times before. This chocolaty cake have a few layers of sponges and cream and a nice smooth coat of chocolate on the top as well as its side. My friend and I found the sponge part quite coarse but overall, it was a nice dessert.

This cup of Machi green tea is for those who loves tea leaves and rich tea flavour! Served with a tea bag soaked in hot water, no other preservatives or sugar is added to this drink and taste really refreshing. The tea leaves has a rich taste and smell of green tea leaves mixed with other types of tea leaves and is a really rich bag of tea leaves that will cater to those who loves tea! Overall not too bad a drink but slightly too blend for me

I have always been a huge fann of desserts and chocolate of a thousand leaves is probably one of the nicest cakes at coffee bean. There is a layer of granche chocolate at the top of the cake while the rest of the layers are topped with creamy chocolate followed by sponge. The base of the cake is my favourite part as its crunchy and tastes like ferrero rocher. Not sure if its actually used in the cake but the base makes the entire slice of cake empowering. The portion is pretty huge too! 7/10

I ordered the mocha ice blended.
It is quite nice..Fresh and make me got energy.
It's mocha is not very bitter nor sweet.It is just right.

The vanilla one also not bad,but it is too creamy and sweet for me.
I like the cakes too.Simple but nice.

The most important thing is the environment there.
Make me feel comfortable with the nice comfy sofa seats.
Have a very nice tea break with friend at there.

It is always a good choice to go to The coffea Bean & Tea Leaf to have a short break and chit chatting session after shopping around orchard area. Went there with my friend and I ordered the thousand leaf chocolate cake. Forever cannot resist the attraction of chocolate This cake is seriously chocolaty, with layers of sponges and chocolate cream. Also, not forgetting about the finger licking good chocolate coating at the outer part of the cake. Satisfied with it as the cake doesn't taste too sweet.

Gmarket was having this Coffee Bean Deal on 30 May! The original price for a small drink is $6.80 i think and it's discounted till one drink for $3.30 Bought two cause that's the limit for each pax per day! I went to redeem immediately yesterday with my friend. The chocolate cake from coffee bean is moist, soft and very nice with a layer of thick chocolate cream. Its sweet as it is, just nice for my liking. so if u order chocolate cake, go for a drink that is not too sweet,
