It was time for catching up again and the selected venue is Courtyard at Fullerton. The bright, spacious dining hall was nothing short of sophisticated, with cushy seats and tasteful decor. One of the specialities is the Scones, served in warm cloth tray - crusty, firm and slightly sweetened. The addition of raisins perked me up. The clotted cream and jam spread were lovely flavor enhancers, further boosting the taste of the pastry, though they were both a little runny. All of us had the English Hightea Sets that comprise of a three-tiered tray of savouries and sweets, as well as a beverage. The Creme Brulee with Blueberries was rather nice - break through the crispy layer of hardened caramel and the cream within is luscious and smooth. The pairing of blueberries gave it a rather sharp contrast. The Open Face Smoked Duck Sandwich was rather nondescript save for the fact that the duck was tender but a tad salty in my opinion. The Mini Bagel with Parma Ham and Melon was a palatable combination - succulent but saltish ham balanced by the crunchy sweetness of the melon cubes.I enjoyed the Open Faced Shrimp Sandwich - the shrimp was fresh and bouncy, coupled beauitfully with a sauce similar to mentaiko. For full review and more photographs, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/02/afternoon-tea-at-courtyard-fullerton.html continue reading

The seats was so comfy - the moment I sat down I feel so relaxed hahaha! Coffee is free-flow, with 2 choices of Tea. So I ordered a tea first to try since they are serving TWG.We were served scones first with clotted cream and jam. Over here at The Courtyard, we were served a three-tiered tray just like at 10 Scotts. On the top tier was the Oreo Cheese Cake and Strawberry Tart. On the 2nd tier was the savoury delights which I liked because I love sandwiches and they served nice egg mayo, cucumber & tomato. Otah with half quail egg, salmon with caviar cone. Pauline, Alyssa and myself loved this! I think is the highest refill we asked. There is one with brie cheese which I tried but I don't really like although I love cheese but that was too strong for me!Bottom tier I didn't try much also because I don't really fancy sweet stuffs. I love kueh lapis but this come with fruits which I don't like, original still the best! After a few rounds of refilled we were all so full from it. Nice high tea session and prompt response and highly attentive staff. Thumbs up for it! Ambiance was nice too. continue reading

One of our girlfriends will be relocating to China with her husband, so we went for a farewell hi-tea. She actually wanted to try The Landing Point, but it was fully booked. Thus, we settle for The Courtyard @ Fullerton Hotel, which is the "sister" of The Landing PointTea selections served here are also from TWG, with 2 choices of tea for the Hi-Tea session. Coffee are however free flow. My first choice, Chocolate Mint Truffle Tea. Scones are also served with clotted cream & jam. I ain't a fan of scones cos they're usually hard & a little dry, but this is quite soft. Just like The Landing Point, food selections are served on 3-tier tray & they're refillable. The servers will come by you table & ask if you would like to refill any of the items. I personally like this Salmon w/caviar Cone & had several servings of it!Strawberry Lemon Tart is the only sweet stuff I like on the tray and I had quite a few of it.Service here is as good as The Landing Point, and a lot better than 10|Scotts! continue reading

Met up with a few girlfriends to try out the Afternoon tea here. This place serves a standard 3 tier tray of sweet and savory finger food which are refillable. Customers are also allowed to order two pots of tea from TWG range and unlimited other beverages such as coffee and juices. Scones are served warm and wrapped in a napkin with clotted cream and jam. Food were generally ok but we find that the taste and variety loses to their sister restaurant at The Landing Point at Fullerton Bay hotel. Service and ambiance was good though.Check my blog for more pics and info..http://midas400.blogspot.sg/2013/04/hi-tea-at-courtyard-fullerton.html continue reading

The FoodBeing a chocolate lover, i decided to try the Fullerton Hotel chocolate buffet since is their signature. As shown in the picture, there are 4 cakes which are a must try (Coffee Chocolate Fudge, Fullerton Chocolate Cake, Manjari Lavender and Espresso Coffee Cake). When I tried the coffee chocolate fudge, the chocolate sponge is smooth and nice coffee fragrance. The cake that I enjoyed and liked the most is Fullerton Chocolate Cake which is a combination of rich chocolate ganache, crispy feuillantine, chocolate sponge, finished with a dark chocolate glaze. Is a must try for passion chocolate lovers !! Also not to be missed is the chocolate fountain with fresh cut fruits and marshmallows to dipped with it.The ServiceThe service is very high class and the waitresses are friendly and with a smile when i requested for coffeeThe AmbienceWith the orchestra trio playing in the background, the ambience is relaxed and fantastic with nice decor and surroundings. The PriceReasonably priced at $38++ per adult to enjoy the wide variety and best unique chocolateOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this for all chocolate lovers !! continue reading
