Introduction
Perched on the very top of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, The Lighthouse Restaurant & Rooftop Bar occupies the exact location where a beacon once guided mariners into the safety of the Singapore port in the 20th-century. The Italian restaurant commands one of the most mesmerising views of Singapore’s skyline and Marina Bay waterfront. In the kitchen, Chef Carlo Marengoni prepares authentic Italian cuisine with specialties and quality produce from Campania, Sardinia and Sicily. continue reading

My second time visiting this posh restaurant after having a very nice experience during my first visit here with my loves one. This time, I have tried their linguine. The linguine is very chewy and the portion is quite generious as well The added parmensen cheese make it really fragrant. The tomato paste used in cooking it is with the right flavour, which is not too sour nor sweet. continue reading

If you want to impress your date, this is the place! Located on the apex of Fullerton Hotel, The Lighthouse is an intimate Italian restaurant boasting panoramic views of Marina Bay and the city skyline. Above the restaurant, there is a private rooftop lounge to enjoy a drink, breathtaking view and a long chat with your date The food was delectable and the service was good at first, but it got busier later in the evening and there was 2 occasions whereby we had trouble getting the staffs’ attention. We ordered the set menu, but swapped some of the dishes. The restaurant is very flexible, you can swap with any of the dishes that belonged to the same category on the menu. The cozy restaurant with seating for 52 diners. Reservation is recommended. continue reading

We went to The Lighthouse during the Singapore Restaurant Week (19 - 25 March 2012), where the restaurant offers a 3-courses lunch for $40++. The menu doesn't provide options though. However, the view from the restaurant is magnificent. Appetizer is the Smoked tuna loin. The cold plate is served with black olives, ratte potatoes and sicilian pistachio salad. It tastes Ok, all the ingredients blend in pretty harmony together. The main course is the Fusilli pasta. The spiral pasta is cooked with pork belly, home dried cherry tomato sauce and topped with fresh ligurian basil. The sauce is deliciously tasty, but I reckon the meat is too little as compared to the pasta portion, making the dish too plain. As for dessert, we had the Yogurt and orange blossom panna cotta. It is very refreshing! Served with the citrus compote, this dessert is my favourite dish of the meal. continue reading
