We tried this new platter - Fried Giant. It consists of fried prawns, crispy fish fingers, cherry snapper fillets, battered onion strips and calamari coated with crushed peanuts. Enjoy it all with a good selection of dips - cajun honey mustard, smoky chipotle, tartar and onion glory dip.I like the honey musturd sauce the best, sweet. The prawns are very crunchy and cherry snapper fillets fresh. I don't really like the onion strips as I think it can't compare to onion rings. The portion is quite huge for a price of $42.80, can feed 2-3 pax. It's yummy! Service is good though a bit slow, but they had a sign informing customers that it may be slow due to the new menu.... Staff are very friendly and nice though. Good place for family gathering. continue reading

Small Flame - SGD19.95Enjoy the legendary Manhattan Flaming Prawns with grilled dory fillet on a bed of Garlic Herb rice, chips and veggies. Here's an overview of the food pictures. You don't have to ask what soup of the day that the Manhattan Fish Market offers. It is FOREVER Mushroom Soup. The deep-fried fries are crispy and too thin a strip..The fish was not too fresh though. Most importantly, I love their flaming' grilled prawns! It is topped with delicious melted cheese sauce.. and they use a Bunsen burner to give us that flaming grilled taste. The service was really great.. the manager was very helpful when we asked him questions, but of course we didn't dare to ask why their soup of the day was forever mushroom soup! The food came pretty fast and we had a lovely time at the restaurant However, I felt it was a little too pricey. continue reading

Settled for lunch one day with my girlfriends at star vista's manhatten and we were glad that they had lunch deals during the weekdays. As usual, I always prefer to go for the pasta instead of other main courses (even if they specialize in fish) and I chose the seafood aglio olio. What I fancy about the one over at this outlet is because they could make it non-spicy for me as well as they added extra prawns for me when I requested not to have mussels! The taste of this was better than I expected, not too oily and garlic stirred with it was just nice in size. You should try them too, more worth it during weekday lunch time continue reading

I have no idea why but Manhattan Fish Market (MFM) always reminds me of Fish and Co but the cheaper alternative. Anyway MFM is a hotspot for me and my friends with its halal menu and affordable prices. They often roll out set meals so it's very attractive, compared to eating ala-carte.I like the rice served at MFM cause its fragrant as if it has been cooked with some spices, or even butter? Anyway the fish is fresh and tastes good too. Easy to bite off and paired with the sauce, it's just amazing. They also made sure we meet our daily vegetable needs by adding broccoli and carrots in the meal. My friends also ordered a Flaming Seafood platter to share and it comes with their signature battered fish and chips, oysters, prawns and calamari. The prawns look a bit unappetizing because there were a few black spots on them. Still it is a filling meal and good for sharing (2-3 people). continue reading

Had Manhattan fish and chips since there was the $3.99But with any cheap deals, you know there's gotta be a long queue. We chose to take the takeaway (no service charge) but had to wait more than 1/2 hour :'(I got the usual fish and chips while my bf ordered the grilled dory.I actually prefer his because of the yummy garlic rice!Felt that my fish and chips are so normal, it doesn't justify its non-promotional price!Don't think I'm eating this ever again..unless theirs cheap promotions! continue reading
