One can easily find a wide variety of affordable food items here, served by friendly staff in casual, comfortable settings of Prata Place. We stared with the Ultimate Murtabak (SGD$12.00), one of the special items featured in the 2012 Ultimate Hawker Fest. Mr. Gunalan believes strongly in being innovative even in his food creations, so here is it - tandoori chicken, portabello mushroom and lots of mozarella cheese swathed in thin prata crusts - indescribly good. The crust was crispy, the tandoori chicken was tender and tasty; mushrooms added strength to flavour, and the cheese was divine. This dish hit all the right chords of the palate, living up to its name proudly. Finally, the Plaster Blaster (SGD$5.00), created for the Ultimate Hawker Fest in 2014. This was an adorable rendition of the traditional western's Eggs Benedict breakfast - but what truly inspired Mr. Gunalan was the rising of the golden sun during a family vacation, giving him a vision of this amazing creation. The poached eggs ran beautifully over the ham and prata, giving us a joyous brunch blessed with western-eastern fusion. All the dishes were served with small plates of curry on the side - fish, chicken, mutton etc.For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/10/lunch-at-prata-place-springleaf-prata.html  continue reading

I was at a neighbourhood event and saw the infamous springleaf prata now comes to you! And cooks right at the event itself. They can cook up hundreds of crispy prata non stop. And after each batch of prata is cooked, they pull out a tray of them and a lady serves them to you.Everyone gets two plain prata and its so crispy! You have a choice of vegetable, chicken or fish curry sauces. The vegetable sauce is the least spicy and its my favourite. Having crispy prata cooked right on the spot is the best part about this catering service! The quality of the prata is so much better than their other outlet at NYP continue reading

Famished after a zoo trip but refused to pay top bucks for local food, thus we hunted this prata place that about 10 mins drive away. Lucky it's air conditioned so we immediately liked the place already. We ordered an assortment of food and drinks as we were all thirsty and hungry. The pratas were generally good and the rice dishes were ok too. Generally not the best Prata cafe in Singapore but I don't have much complains. Definitely a place to return to after another zoo trip! continue reading

I was invited to a Indian festive celebration. The catering was from The Prata Place. The food that the guests were served were Brayani. it has heavy spices added onto the basmanti rice. The next carbohydrate is the chapati. The chapati is thick and just eating the single piece of chapati can be filling. The main carbohydrate dish is the mee siam. The mee siam looked chilli hot but the it was not spicy hot. The main dish to go with all these carbohydrate is the curry chicken. The chicken serving is big portion such as breast meat and chicken. I did not see any drumstick. The vegetable dish is the potato. The potato is also well done. I enjoyed all the dishes as they are not my frequent dishes and the taste is fine for a non-Indian dinner. For a change of dish at times will bring great joy in eating. continue reading

I remembered I came here a long long time ago when I was still a small kid with my family, so I finally made a return visit recently to feast on some prata again. This place is for all day dining as it opens til late and is suitable for supper!Roti John, Chocolate Tissue, Egg Prata and prata! The plain prata was crispy and warm in the inside and absolutely delicious! The same went for the egg prata - Equally crispy and fluffy. Both pratas are especially tasty when eaten with the curry gravy given which had a spicy yet satisfying feel to it.The roti john made a very delicious snack! Toasted bread filled with eggs, meat with a nice spread of mayo and chilli sauce makes a very awesome meal! THe protion was very generous and the meat was well cooked and evenly spread. The chocolate tissue prata was decent and sweet thanks to the wide spread of chocolate sauce. All in all a very good meal, but remember to drink lots of water after this heaty meal! continue reading
