After I went to Wings Bar, I came to 'the pump room' for another drinks! I ordered Corona Extra which is a common and best selling beers in Mexico. Commonly, people will insert a small slice of lime or lemon to add on the flavor.$14While my friend has ordered an Australia Cider. But we don't really like the taste of this.$14So total was about $33 for both of the drinks.I like the environment inside, I love the stage, love the band.I love the songs that the band sing! There is a little space for us to dance just in front of the stage. Perfect for those who not really like clubbing but like to dance with the band's music. But the drinks is a little bit cost expensive continue reading

This is one of my favourite dessert from this restaurant and I will definitely order it whenever I visit this restaurant. The chocolate mousse is very smooth and thick in texture which is also not too sweet as well. Eat with the scoop of vanilla ice cream will make it taste even better and more appetitizing too. The portion may not be that much, but the quality of this dessert is defnitely good and make you want to crave for more. continue reading

The Pump Room Microbrewery & Bistro & Club for a great meal! The special steak burger I ordered was really good! The steak was nicely done, not too hard, there was still some tenderness of the steak. There is also a generously portion of lettuce in the burger, making it very good and healthy! Yummy! continue reading

There are 2 outlets of The Pump Room in Singapore, one in Great World city nearer to the side facing Kim Seng Road and one at Clarke Quay, opposite clarke quay central. This time round we went to the Clarke Quay branch to chill after dinner at Clark Quay central. Theres is live music every day except monday from around 11pm at night. Music is rather old school, quite jazzy and fun - you'll find yourself bobbing to the tunes after awhile. They do offer food (its a bistro as well) though we did not order them, but i peeked at the menu nonetheless and its mains cost around $20 - $40 each. And they do have a sunday brunch! though its rather pricey for starters mains desserts and free flow of beer for $48++. Theres a kids menu though, so a lazy Sunday morning brunch with the kids might be a good idea if you have the cash to spare. Beers cost about $9-$10 for 500ml during happy hours or what they call 'pumping hours'. The place starts to get crowded quite early so do reach earlier if you intend to find a nice spot and chill while waiting for the music to start. continue reading

It seems this is a popular place for chill out. My Australia boss came for meeting last week. He specially requested to come to this place after dinner. He liked the atmosphere very much. Once he stepped in, he became lively!!! Another example of ang moh likes alcohol.I have been this place before, it was one Wednesday after mid-night, there was a queue before we could went in. It was full house already, we managed to find a standing place. My friends liked to dance but me. It was too crowded, you couldn’t even move your body at all, just followed the music and swing. That night I stayed till 2+am and left, it was still full of people. This round we arrived there around 9+pm, there was a live Pilipino band, I would say they sang very well, there were so many people dedicated songs to their love ones or likes. My Aussie boss and boss have beer, beer is for man, I have a double shots Bailey on rock. Probably the bartender put too much of milk/cream, it was too creamy to my like, it diluted Bailey to fairly mild.It is a place for chill out and listen to live band though. continue reading
