Although the shop is known for their fishballs... I actually think there are nicer items there worth trying.Of which, you must try the bean curd skin wrapped fish paste and the bean curd (tau kua) with fish paste!yumzz... Their fish cake with vegetables and chili is also good. The fish cake is extremely juicy, with each bite if you are not careful, may drip or squirt out hehehe...Bean curd is very soft and has tinge of saltiness not the sort of beancurd with no seasoning. But for the health conscious... They are VERY oily! They will deep fry before serving and drain on a sieve.. but still very oily

This is one of the items that i like from this stall. I tried the tau kwa with fish paste for many times and it always tasted fresh. They managed to fry it well so it did not taste too oily. You can request them to re-fry it if you like it hot with a slight crisp. This is one of their best sellers and always amongst the first few to be sold out. I usually get 2 to have it as snack whenever i come to this food centre for lunch.

I went to tiong bahru market to have lunch with my family. It is a must to buy the tiong bahru fishballs. Their fishballs are really good, it is very tasty. you can taste the tastiness at every bite. The outside of the fishball is deep fried, so it has this rough texture, the inside is very smooth and crunchy. they also have tau gua and fish cake. The tau gua is really good, you can taste the contrast in textures, outside chewy and a little crispy, inside is soft and smooth. Even though it is deep fried, there is still moisture in it and it is very juicy. All these are best eaten with their chilli dip.

Going to toing bahru market, we did not forget to order the famous and delicious toing bahru fishball. We did not order a lot as we intended to try out other food, we got the tau kwa, fishball and fish cake. The uncle was really nice to help us re-fry it for us. The fish cake and fish ball were a little on the salty side but it was real good when eaten hot. The tau kwa was heavenly. The outside was crispy and the insides was soft and juicy. When dipped in their chilli sauce, it taste even better. I think the chilli sauce brought out the flavour of the fishballs. No wonder there is a queue at this stall.
