I walked over to the nearby People's Park Complex Food Centre for dinner after going down to Chinatown to exchange some Australia currency for my trip. Anyway, I just want to get a quick meal so I headed for the stall near to my seat. Actually I want to try this stall for a while for its comfort food. Besides the Watercress Pork Rib Soup, I ordered the Steamed Meat Patty with Salted Fish and Braised Sweet Soy Chicken Wings. It also has a nostalgic feel with the the use of metal plates.The Steamed Meat Patty with Salted Fish, a simple dish of steamed minced pork and salted fish was nicely and evenly cooked. It was not too salty and went very well with the rice.The Braised Sweet Soy Chicken Wings was excellent. The chicken wings were fat and delicious, well braised with the sweet soy.

Normally, I do not order soups outside because I find it to be laden with msg which will result in me being very thirsty after having the soup. However, the soup at this stall taste quite like the home-made soups, at least, for the xi yang cai soup, I didn’t feel very thirsty after drinking the soup. The soup is served hot which retains the flavour of the soup. It is very comforting on the tummy as the soup is light with no visible oil floating on top of the soup and there are ample vegetables in the soup, which are soft and easy to bite. I will recommend this soup for anyone who wants a light and comforting meal!
