Son went camping so we didn't cook today and plan to have a simple dinner at Uncle Leong.I tried their food 2 months ago and it is good so tot why not brought my family to try.We reached there at 8pm. The restaurant is only 30% occupied, as only 3 adults and 1 child we just ordered a medium bee hoon, their famous mee goreng and coffee pork ribs.If come with a big bowl of peanuts before serving. Food came in within 10mins...Beehoon with gravy are too blend no taste at all, very disappointing.Mee goreng not spicy enough and a bit too sweet, not what I like, feeling sad already.Pork ribs is not even hot, like put in the kitchen for a long while. This is super disappointing.Went I comments to the waitress about their dishes, she mentioned that if I come next time I should tell them before hand.I told her frankly that I will not want to come again anymore...Mother in law said that peanuts are the best dish after all. lol...Total we spend about S$42 with 3 drinks, their drink are not expensive though only S$2 per cup. continue reading

i come here with my family for my birthday celebration. We wanna get a set but portion too much. We had fried veg, which tasted normal. Deer meat was very hard, not nice. Egg yolk salted prawn ,the taste not strong enough, not nice. Butter crab was too creamy, just so so,and one bowl of plain rice cost $1 which is consider expensive, service not bad,the boss was nice to let us change seat, food wise normal, their salted crab is better then butter one. continue reading

As Uncle Leong is super packed during weekends. Even take away still had to Q. Tips# Call before hand to take the order and tell the staff what time you will come to pick up the food.Crab Beehoon: The meat of the crab is very fresh & good. Beehoon goes very well with the gravy. The gravy has a strong pepper taste which make it so delicious. Love they will pack the Beehoon separately.Fry bun- It is hot & crispy.Conclusion- To eat during weekday so that it will not be so packed with people. continue reading

Sambal sweet potato leaves. This is okay, but not spicy enough to my taste.Homemade seafood tofu. I quite like this dish.. I don't like tofu but this tofu dish is quite nice, being crispy on the outside and soft inside.Guinness beer pork ribs. Sweet and nice are the words to describe the dish.Salted egg yolk prawns. This dish is good. The salted egg sauce is nicely done and I like the taste. The must order dish at Uncle Leong's, the chilli crab. The crab is huge with huge crab claws and the fresh of the meat is sweet and tasty, best recommended to take this chilli crab with fried mantou.. The fried mantou goes well with the chili crab sauce, a perfect match. continue reading

It's my friend's 25th birthday and the good thing about us, is our never ending love for seafood. Oftentimes, we would have crabs or prawns for special occasions. So this time we're in search for a really good seafood restaurant to dine in. My friend mentioned about the creamy butter crab she tried at Uncle Leong Seafood before and wanted the rest of us to try it for ourselves. Uncle Leong Seafood has just moved in to Punggol so it's quite near for us living in the East.We were there for the crabs so we ordered the Crab Bee Hoon and the Shimmering Golden Sand Crab Delight. The shimmering sand crab was what we had all came for to try. It has a very thick creamy sauce and after the first taste, I found myself getting quite addicted to it! The sauce was lightly flavored with hints of laksa leaves, white pepper, butter and cream. It was a little spicy and sweet but not too much. And yeah, we finished all two orders of it! IT WAS INDEED SO DELICIOUS! *jaws dropping*. The crab bee hoon on the other hand, was just okay. The broth was sweet with essence of crab but its just too milky and sweet for me. The crab was well cooked and plenty of bee hoon to go around. My friends liked the bee hoon though but, not for me.Nonetheless, the most important thing was that Uncle Leong's crabs made all of us a happy diner. For me, that shimmering creamy sand crab was really quite unforgettable and I can't wait to have another crab feast again! continue reading
